2026 trial games (non WTs)

roosters or penrith for me this year
manly for spoon perhaps
Good call Penrith vs Roosters GF

I think the Panthers go up a level on last year that centre the Panthers have Casey McLean I believe he will be the best centre in the game in 18 months time

Blaze will go to another level and they have some cracking young forwards

Ivan keeps their heads in the game .
Better club coach the Bellamy

They were gone when they lost both their halves on one freak play, season cooked.

Walsh and their forwards found their best form and they rode that all the way.

Not sure how sustainable that is.
That premiership was a lightning in a bottle type moment I suspect, much like ours was. Unless you’re Penrith you need a lot to go right to win the whole show. There was a sense of destiny about that premiership.
Melbourne prove that pretty regularly, poor buggers. An amazing club who fail to secure a lot of big game wins.

Yeah, Walshy was rocks and diamonds all year. Then all of a sudden just diamonds in the big games.

It’s not a solid platform to work off especially when Hass is one foot out the door.

I was really happy Walsh didn’t play Origin last year. I even stated we would have lost that series had he been selected.
Seems a silly thing to say in retrospect but it reinforces your point. He wasn’t playing good footy for much of the season…in fact he was a liability against Canberra in the final until a switch flicked in him.

Ivan gets his player's to believe in themselves

Nathan without Ivan coaching him would not have played origin without Mitchell Moses being injured he would have been Mitchell's backup

Nathan struggles at origin because he doesn't have that step up in class and it's Ivan's great coaching that makes Nathan look better then what he is

Mitchell is the better player on all levels

To bad Ivan went back to Penrith

In that case they could quite easily finish out side the 8.

Brisbane's was a few lighting bolts Walsh against the Raiders no words and the Raider who went to the bin crazy

Jason Purdue, gee he’d look good in a #1 jersey for the WT….dunno why we didn’t just ditch Bula and go for Purdue…so much upside and he’d cost much less than we offered Bula….Bula
