2026 Wests Tigers Injuries

The dragons are the only team I would be confident of beating while we have basically our spine and best backrower in rehab. Getting Api and Bula back will help in a couple of weeks. There will be effort but no team in the comp can be competitive with the majority of their spine on the sidelines. Under the salary cap it’s impossible to carry NRL standard coverage for your whole spine

Sigh

Injury gods eh.
We had probably the best run of injuries last year...it was always in the back of my mind maybe we used up all our luck then
Im not throwing in the towel.yet but geez its gunna be tough
Quite heartbreaking isnt it. Started the season with high hopes (great pink Floyd song). I dont think the season is over, but we need everyone back to make a run for the finals. Samuela for 12 weeks is a big worry, hopefully its really 6, but thats just blind optimism.

In addition to the players out injured, Jarome Luai & Taylan May still hampered by their injuries. Heath Mason looked to be struggling with something in the 2nd half. Starford To'a still cautious not to use his left arm in NSW Cup when pushing off a player or off the ground.

I think Doueihi is the biggest loss. We will be a different side when he is back.
It's amazing how much value Adam adds to the team from 2 years ago, he's a gun now just as well we locked him up for the future, just imagine what offers he'd attract if off contract in November.

There would be no way we could keep all the players we wanted in the squad.

Melbourne are dodgy as

What was the story with Twal?
Did the ref tell him to go off despite it being deemed a cat 3 or something...confused.

NRL Injury Ladder - Round 11

The number of weeks missed due to injury per club so far this season!
Some interesting stats coming into this week:
- there has only been 6 season ending lower limb injuries so far in 2026, compared to 13 at this stage in 2025
- there have been 49 concussions/failed HIA’s so far in 2026, compared to 29 at this stage in 2025

I hate stats like this , because losing AD, Bula and Fainu and Api for 4 plus weeks is not the same as losing , Kelma , reserve grade winger , reserve grade centre , and Illongi . .
There’s a baseball stat called WAR- wins above replacement . And I’d love a similar stat in NRL if it’s even possible . Because yes the eels have had a shitload if injuries , but how many are actually core to their winning and losing . You’d say Iongi , and Penisini …. But really who else ? Hopgood ? He’d be a 1 at best .
We’ve literally got guys like Api who I think we’ve won 1 game with not there since he signed here . He’d be a gazzillion wins above replacement as an example .
Even AD would be pretty high . Especially when he’s in the halves.

I agree, a somewhat meaningless metric. Another option is look at key positions like your spine than do the comparison. Or add more weighting to those key positions.

So Taylan possibly out for the year according to Benji’s PC after the game ? Assume he will require surgery now
