Wests Tigers NYC Holden Cup Coach Willie Peters has named his side to take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for their Round 10 clash this Sunday, May 15.

Kickoff for the match is at 1:45pm at ANZ Stadium as Wests Tigers look to make it six games in a row unbeaten following their 46-0 drubbing of South Sydney last fortnight.

Peters will welcome back key representative forwards Junior Tatola and Esan Marsters for Sunday’s match after the pair featured in the Junior Kangaroos v Junior Kiwis game, as well as JJ Felise following his strong recent performances in the Club’s first-grade side.

Their inclusion sees powerhouse prop Taniela Paseka drop back to the bench, while Ryan Papenhuyzen will retain his spot on the wing after a strong debut against South Sydney.

Papenhuyzen was recently named alongside teammate Moses Suli in the NSW U/18’s squad.

Wests Tigers come into the match in second position on the Holden Cup ladder, while the Bulldogs currently sit in 13th position having lost seven of their last eight games.

Based on form these boys should be too strong for the Dogs who have been very disappointing so far.

Don't really understand why they'd continue to play Felise at 20s when he's been playing NRL. Why not continue to test him in NSW Cup? can only think it's a salary cap thing. He won't develop anywhere near as fast in the nyc

Yeah kinda weird, think Brooks and Moses had the same thing happen to them..game in 1sts, killed it then dropped back down to 20s

Has to be salary cap related

No they went back to NSW cup after debuting. Though it was the end of the season for Brooks so weren't really any games left.

But maybe for JJ if he's not included in nsw cup his base salary still comes out of the NYC cap and not NSW Cup? Saving space for others..?

particuarly with paeska being so great in his absense. lolo isnt going to push for first grade so not sure why theyd start him in isc ahead of JJ. maybe its financial and theres more money for winning nyc then isc?

Could also be a bit about protecting his body and easing him against the big boys.

Agree, the Tigers coaching staff would not want to push him too hard too soon, give him a taste of NRL this year and maybe a few NSW Cup games as well throughout the year. I'm sure they have big plans for him from 2017 and onwards.

We're coming 2nd in the NYC, maybe they want to have a crack at winning it. He'll be a big help.

Winning the 20s means absolutely nothing. If we can win, obvisouly it's a good thing - but we dshouldn't be altering development plans for players to win a novelty event.

While of course he's still young and maturing into his body, his still a big boy and playing against other big boys in the nyc. He needs to be playing against smarter and better quality all-around players in order for him to keep improving.

He got caught out at marker a few times in the NRL and playing against vastly inferior opponents won't sharpen this aspect of his game etc.

The occasional game in the 20s is ok but if we want him to play significant grade for most/all of next season he has to be playing nsw cup. Covering him in cotton wool isn't necessary but keeping in a level he's clearly better than isn't pushing him to be better and doesn't help create a culture of excellence and rewarding performance.

Maybe he'll replace Buchanan in the 25.

I'm sure it would mean something to them. I'd like to have a team to cheer on grand final day too!

They should give him a bit of a stint in NSW Cup (and firsts when the opportunity presents itself again) but I'd regularly be cycling him back into the NYC to keep the performance of that team up and to try to reduce the risk of injury.

Nah Lachlan Lewis is with Raiders still as far as I know

Bulldogs picked Lewis up a couple of weeks ago. He is Wally's nephew. Pretty smart ball player!

Wasn't he on Home and Away?

Thats Lincoln Lewis,

his newphew at the doggies is a future superstar.
