2pm Sunday FOX games

They're quick, they're live, they're commentated well and they're on at an earlier time than other Sunday games (besides NZ 12pm EST games)….

I really wish we wish we played more of them, as I recall we haven't played one all year and aren't scheduled to do so for the rest of it. From a personal point of view, I'd be getting better bang for my buck with my fox subscription if we played more Sunday 2pm games too.

The only disadvantage I suppose is that sponsors aren't making any financial gain from them (Don Furner said a few weeks back on ABC Grandstand that FTA sunday games have 6/7 times the audience than that of fox games)

Any thoughts guys?

Rabs Warren needs to be put out to pasture, him talking about Zorro in todays game and making the childish sound effects of the sword was just another embarrasing effort by him….I always end up muting games hes' calling by the 20 30 min mark

Yeah it's a shame. He was such a great caller but now he just goes on with crap.

And goes off on a tangent talking about bloody Squizzy while play is continuing and Johns is trying to make a comment about it. Who gives a toss about Squizzy? I'm trying to watch a game!

Saturday arvo footy is going to be played over the closing rounds. Fingers crossed its a preview of next yr. Saturday arvo football needs to come back,

Crap ratings and it interfered with country and local footy often played sat arvo. Same reasons it won't last this time for more then a few weeks. People say its better for the game but if less people watch it then its not great for all those who can't
 
The whole reasoning about people doing other stuff on a Saturday afternoon is a load of crap. The AFL have no problems attracting 70 thousand plus at 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. To put it down to lower crowds is a cop out.
 
one of the main disappointments for me, when the new TV deal was done, was that channel nine got to keep delayed Sunday arvo footy. The adds wreck the flow of the game, the dribble that the commentators go on with (referred to by other posters) as well as the poor picture quality compared to FOX HD makes watching the game unenjoyable imo.

Its just horrible isnt it. I havnt watched in on nine for over a year. I just wait till its on Fox.
