Latu compliments Luai very well. Plays as a direct first receiver and gives Luai space to move.

to be fair seyfarth made up for it in the 2nd half in the first 20 when he went off we didnt score anything

Can I just give Doueihi 2 shouts here- his ability to cut off attacking sweeps gets better every week. Canberra wingers barely saw the ball because Doueihi was up in the centre's face before he could move it on.
And that run through the gap was a thing of beauty. MORE OF THAT. At his size, at good angles, it's like having another mobile back rower. Centres don't like tackling that.
Bula looked off all game last night. The efforts were there, but nothing was really sticking.
Sione might be outplaying Fonua Pole right about now- but both have really stepped up this season. Fonua's defence isn't so much a problem anymore.
Latu is going to be amazing. Sam Fainu plays so much better with Latu beside him too.

It’s amazing how much Luai’s form has lifted since the dufus wearing the 6 left. It still boggles my mind that he had to defer to him for so many games. A 4 times premiership winning half deferring to a 19 year old who’d done nothing in the game was just plain weird, imo.

Luai has completely fallen off a cliff and has improved, but is so far off his usual standards. I hate that germy narcissist, but maybe I hate Benji more for enabling him

Remember Batemans blow up when he said Benji was over enthusiastic re the kids and critical of the senior players. Maybe there was something to that after all ?
Perhaps Benjis been focusing on the juniors coz they have no point of comparison about good/bad coaches, but their managers do !

Yes and it's a learning curve for Benji as long as hy improves and learns

That is on Luai as well as Benji. He has supposedly committed here for 5 years. Why would he allow the coaching staff to use him in this way?
