3 - Pole (Ran for huge metres and his late footwork was causing all sorts of dramas)

2 - Bula (Still needs to straighten a little more at times but looked dangerous every time he touched the ball and defensively was solid as always)

3 - Api (Api just being Api in attack and felt his defence was better this week than it has been recently. Some great tackles)


I felt we were really let down by our senior players in this game with some crucial basic mistakes by the likes of Klemmer, Douiehi, Bateman etc. They cant be making basic unforced errors. And 2 terrible defensive efforts by Stef led directly to tries. Also our bench was really disappointing. They just had no impact when they came on. Such a shame because if just some small things changed they likely would have won that game.

Galvin I saw turned inside out on a Warbrick try, missed only two tackles. Did I miss any others? Felt like Sam Fainu, Olam and Stef (and Mason when it was over) were the main problems in the Storms tries.

I remember seeing a bit of arm grabbing throughout the game at different points from him along with the obvious misses, that’s why I thought his defence wasn’t great. Agree on the other names you put up regarding their defence though.

They scored 2 tries when we were down a man….again discipline let the team down.

There’s a lot of Luke Brooks about the over the top praise for this kid.
Just after halftime he puts a grubber through that bounces off the bloody advertising boards past the deadball line and Ennis states “that’s almost a perfect kick there from Galvin, it had great shape on it.”
Fark off! 🤣🤣🤣

There is a fine line between a great kick and one which gives your opponents 7 tackles. It is likely he will learn this lesson in time for his next club. I keep thinking he should be shifted to centre with his strong defence and ability to break the line allowing Fainu into the halves. It is a matter of having your best on the park.
