4 Vs 5... Is there really any point?

Just an observation…

Under the McIntyre system, If you play in the 4 Vs 5 game, you're pretty much guaranteed to be playing in week 2.

If you win, you're not high enough to get the week off.
If you lose, you're not low enough to get knocked out!

Last year tghe warriors came 5th, lost to the Titans and got eliminated in the first week. Every game is important in the semi's.

It's actually happened the last 2 years, both New Zealand and Manly have been kicked out from this match, as well as St George in 2004\. So yeah, it's an important match.

At no stage has 4th been knocked out in the first week, but 5th has been knocked out 3 times in the last 10 years. Dragons in 2004; Manly in 2009 & Warriors last year…

At the end of the day, 3rd and 4th can get knocked out in week 1 of the finals, but I cant see it happening this year?!

You want to win in Week 1 of the Finals otherwise you could find yourself playing away from your city in Week 2 of the Finals!
