That 78th Min Penalty was correct even though it pains me to say it... We had a few calls tonight but that never happens so its about time we won some calls... I love how the other coach is fuming and getting stuck into the refs / Bunker because of a few calls but when they happen to us we just sit back and say its part of the game.. I would like to see us question them too as we are normally on the bd end of calls. Now i will sit back and enjoy the next 24 hours of been in the top 8 before we get pushed back out..

@hsvjones lmao, that’s exactly how I feel for the top eight but think we might find ourselves getting a string of good calls of the next few weeks. Enough to nab 2-3 wins

That was definitely not a penalty, but if we are going to be fair dinkum then neither was that penalty try.

I actually disagree on both of those.

The flop was clearly a penalty. The issue is that the refs won't blow them consistently, but it's not like you let one flop go because you didn't catch 100% of the others. It was unfortunate for Liddle because he wasn't really to know that Aloiai was going to lop JT, and we couldn't afford a quick PTB either.

The other end - MCK only loses that ball because he gets whacked in the face.

Nah I don't want us to be one of those clubs, like Sharks with Flanagan, whinging over only the calls that went against and ignoring the ones that were for. Top coaches like Bellamy and Bennett, they don't blame refs either, they have higher expectations for their players playing to the whistle and winning games DESPITE bad calls.

In 28 games of footy to win the GF you are going to get a good share of bad calls, so you have to be good enough to overcome those.

For Tigers last night, yes some dodgy calls for and against us, I mean we are ignoring the very strong likelihood that Marsters knocked on for the Matto try - Cummins could have referred that but didn't.

Tigers biggest issue was ball-handling second half. We don't drop all those carries, we don't need to worry about last-minute penalty goals.

@Tweed_Tiger Marsters grounded that its downward pressure doesnt matter if its a pinky, i also thought after Thompson dropped it the ball clipped Cooper's i think it was forearm being a knock on. So we got a try we shouldnt have and they squared up with this one. The penalty try i thought was correct half his body ended up in the in goal if he wasnt hit high and dazed he scores anyway. The flop pen at the end yes there's probably 10 or more like that are let go throughout the game but they were looking to hand it to the cows imo.

How good is it winning on a Thursday/Friday it changes the weekend completely haha

The penalty Cummins gave for the Cows to level up at 20 all was rubbish too. Huth was square at marker and Baptiste faffed around with the ball, Huth was entitled to strike at the ball.
