-9 Points Difference

2 wins, 5 losses and we're only -9\. We have the 7th best PD in the comp. We've lost each game pretty closely and lost games to some decent sides in Melbourne, Cronulla and Parramatta who are all top 6 and losses to Newcastle and GC were both away from home.

Is it as dire as it appears?

It's sounds good in theory Mac , but unless we win games it doesn't matter what the points differential is .

Depends on what your definition of dire is. We could be 2 and 22 with a PD of -24 which would still be pretty good if we lost every game by 1\. Would still put us near/at the bottom of the ladder. I think this shows a lack of discipline not to close out these close matches. We just can't keep up with the grind.

Just saying, Parra are blowing teams apart and considered the best defensive team in the comp and they beat us 8-0\. Sharks got out of jail against us and are flogging sides. Storm beat us by a point. The GC and Knights losses look the worst but Titans are ok and it was away from home late at night and the Knights game was away from home also.

We may be a little underrated.

I think we'll win the next four on the trot leading into Broncos at Suncorp tbh.

Raiders away… winnable. They got flogged at home by Cronulla today and we have a decent record in Canberra.

Souths and Dogs in Sydney... are they not the two "good" sides we flogged last year?

Then Knights at home, turnabout is fair play.

It's dire because it shows you that Brooks/Moses can't win us any of those games. Theyre that far off being consistent first graders its not funny

The team does not have the so called killer instinct to finish in front. It is an attitude problem. When it is time to put in a final effort to ensure a win they seem quite happy to accept that they got close to winning.

not as dire as it appears, the concern is when will our expensive halves and hooker learn how to win these close games…....will they learn?

Something is still off in the attack, Teddy has been quiet, the last 2 games especially.

Still, not bad for a team that supposedly doesn't want to play for the coach.

They looked pretty cut out there tonight and we win if Moses doesn't shank it. Don't think that's a lack of killer instinct that you can attribute to the entire side. If any side failed to put the game out of reach it was Melbourne. They went into the end of the match with the lead and it ended up going to Golden Point. We clawed our way back into it against the odds.

Fair play we had two debutants and were disrupted heavily by injury, Tedesco was off for 15 at a crucial time. There were quite a few bad 50/50s against us and we lost in Golden Point by 1 to the Storm who are a fairly decent side.

The play in the last 10 was solid imo. When nothing was on they put up big pressure bombs and forced the Storm to work it away. When it was on they capitalised. Usually they push a pass that leads to the opponent scoring and the game being lost. You could see something there imo.

This loss could be a positive turning point. Least I hope so.

Yeah he's playing injured, so is Naqaiama. Also other teams are rushing up on him extremely hard. Which I don't get because he taps them on out of habit. Just slide and give him no options.

I suppose if they do that he just runs through two defenders and scores.

Failure to take the 2 after the Trip cost us big time as we failed to gain any advantage, but for the life of me how can one of your gun players in Moses miss such a sitter, we suck in Golden Point games.

Why on earth wasn't Robbie taking those field goal attempts especially the one/s directly in front of the posts?

That's what I was ranting on about earlier .
For saying he's our most experienced player and most payed player , the decision to go for field goal on tacke 2 was plain DUMB , especially with a wet ball .
But he's obviously saving himself for Origin !

Well in actual fact its only -8 cause the one pointer doesn't get counted does it??

That's not fair. Firstly, Farah has been lambasted by all and sundry for overcalling and not letting the young blokes have the call. He did what almost everyone asks of him there.

Secondly, if you're 15 out right in front on the second tackle and you want to kick a field goal, what good is chewing up another tackle going to do? They had the set up, they had the speed of play the ball. Delivery was on. Moses just missed.

Nobody to blame but Moses himself for missing.

So its dumb to go for a FG with a wet ball on tkle 2 in perfect position?
But its not dumb to throw it around for another 3 tkles, that really wet ball…just to kill time?
OK

Pretty sure extra time points don't go on either for or against

It was dumb to panic like they did .
Moses wasn't in perfect position , two more hit ups would have seen them in a perfect position and even you would've kicked a field goal !

Yes we can't put sides away

We would be the worst defensive side in the comp for the first ten minutes after half time

Too many below NRL standard footballers

Do I need to go on Mac ??
