But our attack was inept whenever it started in the opp 20...yet again. Same as Dogs game, we were better when long range and just taking chances.

Yes but the team list also has Brooks in the 7 that’s the difference

Watching KOA cup today, it has to be Laurie at 6. Wakeham was terrible, but Laurie took on the ball playing in the 2nd half and looked decent. He also works well with Staines. So definitely Laurie at 6 for me with Doueihi injured.

The way Api got out of dummy half and the speed Staines injected, I can see Laurie playing well off the back of that.

It should come as no surprise that the Wests Tigers are fielding the youngest line-up in the NRL this year. Sheens is investing in youth however with it, you sacrifice experience.

I don’t think he has his confidence back 100% after the injury he had in 2021. He seems hesitant at times. Maybe he needs to be closer to the ruck to show what he’s got.

Am i watching the same game. They had like 10 tackles in our 20m and scored 28 points

Our defence between the 20's is pretty solid - we don't get hammered by big forwards anymore.

Apart from the Brisbane game (and let’s face it they were on fire) we haven’t been thrashed at all. Haven’t played too well until today, but still hanging in there. Hopefully a win is not too far away 🙏🏼

You know what Flip,if they cut out the simple bloody errors and panic play,then they may play as well organised unit....they showed glimpses of that today,thing is this is NRL and there is only a very small margin for error ..

No point looking for offloads - there’s no one interested or positioned for the unexpected, do we even train together during the week?
It’s like we’ve been introduced moments before kick off. I’ve never seen so much incompetence in a Tigers side - I don’t know who to blame for it all.
We’ve got square wheels.

No one pushes up on the ball - it is super frustrating. Our forwards are actually bending the line and finding opportunities to get their arms free in the same way Shaun Lane was for Parramatta last season.

Not having a settled fullback and having 7 on Brooksy's back instead of 6 makes this tough for us.

It looked today like Staines instincts are to sniff around the middle so it would be great if they just play him at FB permanently. Api was advocating for this after the game (Staines FB).

Getting into the backfield off the back of our yardage game would be a great way to negate the staleness of our offering inside the attacking 20.

Staines was really good. He was playing great but he dropped the ball at a key time. He was good though.
Api was great. He was carving up.
Tupou was great. A stupid mistake but he is looking good.
Doueihi was pretty good. That injury was terrible.
Bateman is a threat.

Yes. A tactic that they exploited and that we kept boneheadedly allowing. Nothing wrong with successfully executing a plan.
If we did the same thing it would be lauded.

Same as getting caught out against the Broncos. Sheens said they were aware that it was coming and worked extensively on it.
