A Famous Sheens Quote

Roosters souths and penrith all made plays for sheens. Shame he didn't take anyone's offer

He might be right but the way he's carried on in this thread dishing out personal shots at everyone who disagrees with him has been embarrassing

So we failed and your response is "so bloody what"?

Will you say the same again next year and the year after? Of course you will.

I apologise for wanting better for this team. Call me a whinger or a sook or whatever you like but this team were premiership favourites and this season was completely unacceptable. That isn't good enough.

Hybrid i will apologise to you mate….no if we dont make the semis next year he will have to go and a few others with him

I think he should go as I'd like to see alot of our current players under a new voice, so we disagree. But that's fine.

I just think it is such a stretch for Sheens to blame injuries. We have had 8 or 9 positional changes in the halves yet we have only had one injury in that position (Sironen). Sheens chopping and changing the halves was his choice, not forced upon by injury.

And I think its a disgrace for Sheens to point to Robbie's field goal against the Dogs. I wonder how Farah feels about that?

yes it was disappointing ….a failure thats for sure....no use complaining though mate...but maybe i should let people vent...its just so ones sided on here...how many sheens threads and other that turn into them its just annoying..

Did he really blame injuries…he just mentioned it as you would.

who would you have gone with moltz at 7 benji 6...how do you think benji would go at fullback i know its not his specialist position...maybe like a barba type fullback

I was happy with the endings of seasons '10 and '11 we had successful 3rd thirds to both years. However both contained average starts and abysmal middle thirds. They were considered successful years because the team came home with wet sails both times and made the years look better than they actually were.

I consider it a sucessful season when you win or come very close to the minor premiership. Any team can fluke some finals games where dangerous sides are upset and knocked out to help you along….you can not fluke a minor premiership.

So in my opinion, just making the 8 is not a successful season...it is barely a pass mark.

This!

Massively this!
2012: 9th
2011: 4th
2010: 3rd
2009: 9th
2008: 10th
2007: 9th
2006: 1th

Aside from 2 outstanding years, our performances have stayed roughly the same.

If Saints beat Parra by 10 points or more we will finish 10th

From all reports thats how they spent the whole off season training - Sheens has never been known to just make one change to replace an injured player - he has always reshuffled the whole backline to accommodate one change - crazy stuff.

What do you expect people to talk about after such an inept season.

Especially given how inept the guy has proven himself to be this yr. Not something you sweep under the rug

Before we ditch half our playing roster, I would like to see if they are capable of playing at a higher standard and if its their lack of ability or just plain coaching that is holding us back. We will never know while Sheens is running the show.

Get a new coach, get some new direction and see if that makes a different, if it dosnt sack most of the squad.I would have thought its pretty simple

Personally I think Sheens will react to 2012 very starkly and employ some rational decisions because he knows if he fails next year it's curtains. I expect some of our regulars to say bye bye to first grade next year.

I think Ayshford will struggle to stay in the top grade unless he recaptures his 2010/2011 form. I think Lote will be gone. I think Utai will be gone. I think if Beau Ryan gets one single stretch on the sideline he'll probably not come back either because I think there are outside backs in the lower grades that will come in and dominate like Koro did. I think Marshall will be put at six and stay there. I think he will start the season off with 1\. Tedesco, 6\. Marshall, 7\. Moltzen, 9\. Farah, 13\. Anasta, 14\. Sironen and attempt to stick to it. I think he will always carry three big forwards on the bench, choose from Pettybourne, Thompson, BMM, Moors, Bell and Fotuiaka.

In short I think that the days of Sheens employing bizarre Sheens esque tactics are done and we will see him employ logic and reason to attempt to save his job. If he does this … I think we'll win the comp touch wood for injuries.

Also I think no matter what happens next year, Sheens will stand down. I think if we miss the eight he'll take a job elsewhere. If we make the eight but fail to win the comp he'll take a coaching directorship role with us and focus on coaching Australia (and probably coach NSW after Daley fails) and if we win the comp I have a feeling he'll retire.

I think you should take over Mac!

I think A couple guys in our roster would perform better under a different coach. Moltz should have gone to Dragons, I think they would have benefitted from having him.
Ayshford and Blair at a club where he would have been dropped for poor form etc.
If Mac is right and the real Sheens does stand up next year then these players may perform better.
But you can only think "what if" in these situations.

I like the changes you talk about, but knowing sheens as we do he will carry on regardless,he needs to go.

Sheens is to stubborn to ever change, even if it means risking his job. The pig headedness of the man is remarkable

Nice thoughts MacDougal, but I think you will be proven wrong on every single account except Daley failing.

Sheens will not change, thats why we have to make the decision for him.
