A fan vents his fury

As for Steve's point well i can see it, the majority of guys sticking up for Taylor are from the Wests side of the merger. Coincidence or not, it just is what it is.

You guys will argue it but thats ok, i wouldnt expect anything less.

If there is another explanation I'd like to hear it. There has to be some reason for stating that he has done a good job this year.

For the record I also think we can give him another year and hope that he improves. I also think he has done some good things.

I am a massive fan of the joint venture and I want to see us successful.

Got to be someone.from on here imo

Fess up.

Don't think so. Waaaaaaay too well written for anyone on here to produce.

Sadly, for most of us, it's accurate, insightful and a succinct summary of where the club finds itself in late-July 2015.

Brilliant work!

winning the 2005 grand final lead fans to believe we were one big happy family instead of a step family but the truth is the shotgun wedding in late 1999 and early cash incentives to merge all prove their was no love in the relationship and at times divorce is discussed.

I was thinking this but I was waiting to state it. What if all the JT supporters are just old Wests supporters who will just throw their support behind any muppet so long as he has some prior relationship to the maggies.

That explains the delusional posting and explains what can only be explained as an agenda.

Anyhoo - go the Tigers. I hope JT has learnt from his stuff ups.

Or maybe, just maybe, some people just have a different opinion to you.

Yep. I accept this, Some people can think its cool to be last on the comp.

The irony of this is the true reason we sit where we are at the moment is the fault of one Stephen Humphreys. An absolute Balmain muppet who did everything he could to persecute the Wests side of the JV and who is the son of Kevin Humphreys who did everything he could to get rid(and failed) of Western Suburbs from the comp.

So perhaps what you should "accept" steve "tiger" is that some people have moved on from the fossils who still watch Wests tigers games in there 1969 Balmain tigers undies or a more "modern" version of the 1978 minor premier souvenir edition from the Wests side.

Sadly we are blaming the fireman once more and giving the arsonist a free ride.Stephen Humphreys reputation in the end with players and contracts was absolute mud and he was the one who backloaded all these contracts to fulfil his own ego with the thought process of great lets sign everyone for a dollar while Im CEO and backload them for a Million when he would of truly left the scene. Its quite a common thing in the Ego filled corporate world for people to attempt and smart businesses go to great lengths for the outgoing person to leave without causing too much crap.

All you "Tiger"fans(which Im one of)are blaming the gym instructor who was hired last night to fix this 200kg obese guy.it aint a quick fix guys.

I just don't believe this at all. I'm also not blaming JT for anything at all to do with prior seasons. All I want out of our JT is to put the best team possible on the field and have them look well drilled.

I don't expect JT to be able to make Richards faster. That isn't going to happen. He can though pick the best team he can (I think he does this pretty well) and ensure they have a game plan to win them games (this is where I think he is terrible).

I'm from the Wests side and while I was pleased when he got the job. Not because he was from that side, but because I thought he was the best for the job
I loved him as a player, and thought he would be a greatcoach for our halves, unfortunately I was wrong. Our halves are nowhere near the stage that they should be now,&( if their hype was actually fact .)
Part of the blame for that is the over the top hype that supporters were putting on them from day 1
His game plans have dumbed down The Game to the extent it was getting unwatchable for a lot of supporters. And it's getting to the stage that he's running out of people to blame.
It's unfair to say everything is his fault, but he doesn't seem to grasp that we are NOTgoing in the right direction, and the coaching is a big part of the problem.
It's not because he's from Wests that I welcomed him coming here, and it's not because of him coming from Wests that I would love to see him go somewhere else
I support Wests Tigers and have Great memories of a great time had by supporting Western Suburbs, ( and a few suicidal thoughts, as well)

You can't win the Melbourne Cup….with a below par Picnic pony...just not classy enough...

Jerry we know you have a real axe to grind with humpty.
Funnily enough you fail to mention that next year the only players under contracts organised during humptys watch will be farah & Lawrence.

The rest?? All under grant mayer. Pretty safe to say it's obvious why GM got punted by the new board. Both our last CEOs were the kings of the backenders.

That's right. Doesn't mean they used to support the magpies though.

How about this - not all ex-magpies fans are morons who like to come last on the comp. Maybe though the JT supporters are moron ex-magpie supporters.

I'd be happy to accept another suggestion for the stupid comments coming from the JT lovers but I doubt its going to happen.

I'm not an ex-Magpie and I think Taylor should be given more than a year to turn the side around.

Jesus Christ, how'd you manage to turn a coach thread into this?

Once you structure a teams contracts in a particular way as Humpty did with all these backended contracts it was always going to be near on impossible for the next CEO to fix which is why I often stood up for Mayer.Despite popular opinion last year The poor bastard had no chance.I now take my hat off to Marina Go for having the "balls"  (sorry I cant help it)to come clean with the mess that is Wests tigers we are now in re build and to yet again use that obese 200kg analogy again Marina Go and co at least will make sure we look 180kg shortly.Right now we are Alex on this short vid but we will be Usain Bolt soon.We just have to wait till 2017 but I do trust ourcurrent staff cause they are one thing that this franchise hasn't seen in a long while.HONESTY.

I'm from the Balmain side (not now as I am a WT supporter) and I have and continue to support JT to the Hilt.

Why? I mean what do you see in him as a coach that you believe so strongly in what he is doing? Where does your faith in him originate?

I admired him as a player. Built like a stick insect yet matched it with full grown gorillas. He had moderate success previous as a coach but since he has been here not so much.

Stryker,
I have asked that same question on at least three occasions, but so far I have had no real answer at all.
I was a great fan of JT in his playing days and at first believed that he would be good for our young players, but as a coach, he seems to be completely lost
There seems to be this God given knowledge that"things will get better, " yet no one seems to know of one solid reason how they know this. Our defence is still patchy and Soft, our attack is even more patchy.
Our injuries have improved under Taylor, and that is probably a combination of the people that he has brought to the club, as well as better luck.so it's fair that he gets some credit for that.
He has also moved Lawrence to the back row. But that has been called for on this forum for quite a while now, so it's hardly a coaching masterpiece.
This whole " I've got complete faith in JT ", is , in most cases, purely wishful thinking.

I want us to get better too, but JT seems to be a better assistant coach, than a head coach,
Even some ordinary Coaches are sometimes capable of inspiring their players to higher heights than they would otherwise get to, but I have seen nothing inspirational from JT since he came here at all
His pressers are painful to watch as he jumps from one excuse to another.
I really want to be wrong about him, but I believe that the damage has only started and no occasional positive blip is going to make any permanent difference.
He's out of his depth.

I am from the Balmain side of the JV but I firmly support anything to do with our club.

Call it blind loyalty but I supported Potter and now I support Taylor. I lost patience with Sheens towards the end because the team was not mentally tough enough to deliver on their talent.

I am glad we cleaned out Benji and Co. because were we never going to win a comp with that team and the culture stank. I understood when we opted for youth that there was going to be some pain for a few years. I want our club to build a tougher culture that will see us compete year in year out. I want our board to grow our club into something i can be proud of….no more salary cap issues, in-fighting, financial issues, jobs for the boys, general incompetance/unprofessional.

I agree that we should be performing better but I understand the size of the challenge that Taylor inherited. We lack depth and experience and are being punished for this. On our best days we compete....but there is too much difference between our good and bad games (a function of our inexperience). The only option I see he has is to work with what he has got, paying overs for average players will only dig us a deeper hole.

I am prepared to give Taylor a full pre-season with these guys and will judge him by our results around this time next year. I can see no benefit in agitating for change. Do we really want to be another Parra?
