A lack of class - will never put away the lower teams

Yeah I tend to agree Ink

I think the Warriors were being far overrated on their Rd 1 game

I have a few Warriors supporters at work and mentioned after the WT's game that the Manly game would give them a far better idea where they are at

They are a bottom 4 side as is Manly

Dogs played well. We had a poor day. Any team can beat any team.

The sky is not falling in. Farah is not to blame. Deep breaths people.

Did anyone see the Robbie Farah interview recently where he said that Maguire was letting him guide the team around the park?

It surprised me, especially considering all the hype about Maguire saying to Brooks that this is his team.

it's not fair comparing our club to roosters- but they lost the ruck this week, were going backwards, missed tackles etc but still won. All because of talent and skill.

We won't ever win that way. We are simply not skillful or talented enough.

Brooks is on borrowed time IMO , if Madge is the coach that will take this team to better things these hard choices will need to be made.

Except Maguire was instrumental in re signing Brooks to 4 years instead of 3…go figure

Brooks has all the talent in the world, when hes on fire hes on fire.

but the biggest and most glaring problem is simply his consistency. or his lack of.

and that is the issue. We as a club have to either say enough is enough. or we accept it.
And we are accepting it. until that changes, we are always going to be a "yo-yo" club with zero consistency with our results.

He should be our leader on the field, but never is (and maybe that's another problem, that he feels pressure from us as a club as he is our MVP).

i sometimes think maybe he needs to leave and do a Shaun Johnson, breath of fresh air for both himself and this club….

We did not go forward yesterday in attack or defence. All the problems stem from that.

I am really worried about Mbye and not sure what he brings as a fullback. He does not seem to have the passing game to chime in and set up players outside, and I don't see him as the direct running fullback.

Note sure how Dylan Smith went yesterday, but I think that he should be pushing for 1st grade shortly.

I hope Luke can turn this around but by now where his career is at you have to wonder .. he has had multiple coaches had multi partners in the halves and there still is no dominance in his role . There is quotes that Reynolds might not suit Brooks game well I think it should be does Brooks game suit the 5/8 . This could be his saviour a dominate 5/8 ? Is Reynolds that it remains to be seen if not buy one !

I agree with you Snake. More so Marshall though. Farah is doing ok….sort of. The sooner Marshall disappears the better.

And except he is reigning Dally M halfback of the year.

It doesn't matter how you twist that, Brooks is currently in the upper bracket of halfbacks going around. You could take Snake's position to any of the big-name halves like Cleary or Maloney, choose one game and say they are not playing to the expected level. I mean they are the incumbent Origin halves.

I don't know anyone can call a side a "lower team" after 2 rounds of football, which is to say that expectations for this match were based on exactly 2 matches per side. E.g. in the trials and Rd 1 I would have said Warriors looked one of the form sides, then we and Manly both hammer them. Yet they flogged Bulldogs.

It's currently (always?) the Melbourne Storm, then everyone else.

Packerlino still aren't carrying the ball forward as well as they should be for 2 experienced international props I don't care what anyone says.
Matulino is averaging 65m a game yet we see guys like Klemmer make more meters in one game than Matulino has made in 3\.
They know there's pretty much no competition for their spots either, they could continue to punch out 60m and 23 tackles for their entire WT contract, who else are we gonna put there?

Matulino has a knee that was shot in his last year at the warriors. He isn't going to punch out the numbers you are looking for. It's now beyond him.

As is said many a time ….if you are off by 1% in this comp you will get rolled

We were off ...Dogs were on ....game over

What annoys me greatly is how can a team who hasn't made the 8 for what seem infinity isn't up for the games we know are our bogey games

Love to see the stats on games over the last 10 years we have lost to teams below us on the table ( or games we are clear favourites )

Happy there was a betting analysis on reddit that showed the safeest bet in the NRL was betting against us when favourites. Says it all really

I would also wonder about the opposite side of the equation - how many teams lower than us think they can beat Tigers?

It's not just about playing to a consistent level every week, there is a mental / psychological component which influences how "up" the opposition is when they play you.

For example, despite however optimistic the Bulldogs are week after week, I am certain there's a very different mental situation between trying to arrest a 2-game losing streak vs Tigers at Campbelltown vs Melbourne in Melbourne.

And for that to be fixed, Tigers need to go back to what you say, to be consistently high application every week over a number of seasons, such that the perception of the team changes in the heads of the opposition.

Totally agree and I see the exact same thing with my EPL side WHU

The difference between our best and worst can be massive

Whereas a Melbourne is usually minimal ….teams know that we can go to pieces when truly challenged
