A Prediction - think what you may

If Robbie gets picked it is as a utility player AHX as Smith is head and shoulders ahead of him

I want a utility who can play any position at a drop of a hat Luke Lewis winns that hands down form or no form

Yeh - i understand that Happy - but why was he good enough to make the team when Sheens was Wests Tigers coach?

So Robbie should be on the wing for Australia?

LaT you answer my question first please - i think that would be fair - afterall its a forum and rhetoric should be logical. And then I will answer your question. Ok
So once again - i'll make this simple - who is a better player robbie farah or darius boyd?
I hope I'm not straining your brain - I apologize in advance.

Who is better? Farah.

Could we just jump a few steps and have you explain if you are making a random observation or are you suggesting that Farah should be picked over Boyd on the wing?

Honestly AHX Robbie's been in career best form defensively ,' but other parts of his game have let him down this year

Thank you LaT. You are a gentleman. LaT how can it be random. I laugh when Boyd is in the team and Farah is not. Doesnt it urk you? Did Farah let down Australia the last time he played? Nah - doesnt make sense to me - the best team is not on the park. Same can be said for New Zealand.

No it doesn't irk me, simply because one is a forward and the other is an outside back. The positions are not interchangeable in any way whatsoever.

He sure did prove himself, but as I said earlier in the thread I don't see the point in carrying 2 specialist 80min hookers against NZ.

2 doesn't go into 1.

Boyd being there and Farah not, doesn't register for me because there were at no point in history in competition for a spot.

However if Farah was a back, and Boyd was picked ahead of him I would be livid. But thats a hypothetical and of no real use.

Cant help you with your impairement LaT.

With what little you did seem to decipher let's just leave it at the fact that we both agree that Farah is a better player than Boyd.

Thats it. My original point being that I believe Farah did not make the team cause Sheens is coach.

Seriously, what are you talking about. Farah is a more influencial player than Boyd, hands down. But you select players based on a role they play, Boyd is far and away better at the role he was selected for than Farah. Farah could be the 2nd best player in the world and miss out on the side because the best player in the world is already playing hooker. When selecting a team you do not go through and pick the 17 best players and then work out their positions.

Really your argument makes no sense at all

Again - i believe Farah is not in the aussie team because Sheens is coach. Simple.
THATS my argument.
Dont get confused.

What was all the rubish about him being a better player than Boyd then? it is irelevant to your argument.

If you believe that Farah should be in the Test team, what role would you have him playing in the team that can not be performed better, or as well, by someone else who has been chosen?

Wasn't AHX Thats why I said what I said

If Farah makes the side it is as a utilty player and there guys that are far better utilities than Robbie in the game

Sheens can't risk losing this game , if he did he would seriously risk losing his proper job , not the job he is doing on us

Happy - Sheens did say in his sacking that senior players didnt stick up for him i. e Farah & Marshall. Dont you think then that Sheens has a grudge. He feels betrayed.
Why then would you pick Farah.

Fair enough lets say he didnt make this team on his utility value for this one of game.
I"ll give you that.

Would you then exclude him also from a touring team?
In other words - will he be selected to play for Australia again based on the fact that Cameron Smith is hooker.
It seems like people in this thread do not want him on the team or think that he is not good enough for the team.
Is his Australia career over?

He does not have enough as a utility player to be selected over gidley as gidley can play more positions than Farah. If the Australian side select a second hooker for the world cup than that should most difinately be Farah, but has a backup hooker only.

Is his Australia career over?

Easiest way of putting this AHX , would be if Smith was injured would we pick Farah next Probably yes , would come down to to Farah or Ballin in my opinion
