Only criticism is his passing to the right was not as good, but his elbow is strapped so may have had something to do with it.

Sat behind the Tigers bench last week for the Reggies and he oozes confidence. I knew he was ready after watching him interact with the coach, players and how he played.

He played within himself, he seems to be lacking a bit in confidence second guessing himself running from DH off a slow play the ball,perhaps tries have come a little too easy in reggies, he has a very good kicking game hopefully we start seeing it soon. It was a pretty good debut

I reckon he played etc game the coach wanted. He tried too hard in the trial, so looks to have learned.

Thought he played very well. What I noticed was that he was very effective at slowing their ruck down without giving away six again.

But he also looked good as a link man.

The new rule changes may have given him a new lease of life

Best part of his game is that people recieve the ball out in front. Our forwards made easy yards and our backs had time with the ball because he created space with speed clearing the ruck and placement of his passes

Simpkin was good but there's no reason to bash Liddle and he's only played one game. Not trying to take anything away from Simpkin but the attacks on Liddle aren't really necessary.

I hope Simpkin continues playing this way, as others have said service and play was really smart and looked good defensively as well.

Absolutely. A few days ago, people were questioning Liddle's exclusion from the team, and he played very well in Reggies, but Jake was even better in 1st grade. Couldn't be more happy for the young man. Hopefully he keeps progressing.
