Yep. Some people want to p in the kid’s pocket. He had a great debut game but didnt give good service all night. Threw a lazy forward pass at a critical time too.

The kid's debut was damn good ....and Madge's description / comparison was pretty spot on as far as Boxhead is concerned

Watching that ..you'd start with him and bring on Liddle

Kepaoa's injury wasn't kind to us ..we looked so much better with Mbye linking with our backs

He has to get at least a few starts in the 7 jersey

Yep the two Jakes offer different things and could work very well in tandem

It is hard to knock a kid when the options are in front....
on one hand, he is supposed to play what is called, on th other hand he should know what is right. We were hamstrung for a decade believing a hooker should decide under Farah, tonight we paid the price (once) for a hooker delivering once under call... can live with that

Thoughts on Mbye ST ?? ...you know I rate your thoughts / opinion mate

Further to my earlier response, I thought Mbye gave us more “shape” in attack too. I dont know if this is something Luke has failed to do (by playing too shallow) or if it is just a benefit of having that extra link man. Probably a bit of both

He's different to both Liddle and Grant. He's more effective defensively than both, but not as quick in his dummy half runs. But he's stronger and can get more post contact metres. His service and motor is really good, much better than Liddle.
Great debut but was a tough ask playing 80+ minutes. Ideally it would be nice to have Liddle on the bench but Mbye is more versatile and playing well atm

Won't talk about the loss...absolutely brutal. I have never seen that happen in 40 plus years watching footy / both teams think they have won. Absolutely brutal.

Jake is a star.

19 yo...50 odd tackles...great service...in all the key plays.

This kid is a once in a generation talent.

You can't do what he did tonight at 19 playing hooker...yet he did it with ease.

Willow and co who said he was the real deal pre season, well done. He is going to be a star / origin level player.
