Aaron Woods - Dally M's

All these Awards are completely flawed with ridiculous voting systems & bias.

The only Award players should aspire to is there individual clubs Players Player Award.

Fire Up Woodsy!!!

I'm surprised there haven't been more props and back rowers win tbh, as they would tend to be awarded more points in losing teams than halves.

its only a 3; 2; 1 per match, not team, so the winning team always dominates if not gets all 3 votes from time to time.

Perfect was example was 2005\. Johns had been out half the yr, then came back and the Knights went on a mini surge and he was getting MOM every week. everyone suspected that by the last round that he and Thurston were neck and neck, and Johns got 3 points in a loss to the Dragons. That proved the whole thing is a farce voted by journos with agendas. Cos they would have lapped up that story of "Joey's miracle comeback" and how it cemented him as the greatest ever. The fact it was also a NSW newspaper added to how obvious it was.

And Steve Rodgers listed as a Lock lol

Don't think so , Sludge was one of the best centres to grace our wonderful game

He played mostly lock in 81\. A little bit of 5/8, a little centre.

Im hoping one of my learned WT brothers and sisters can answer a question for me, if a player gets suspended doesn't that make them ineligible for the Dally M??

If that's the case Woodsy is now ineligible for taking the early guilty plea this week isn't he??

2015 Dally M Leaders - After Round 6:

Aaron Woods (Tigers) - 10 points
Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys) - 9 points
Ben Matulino (Warriors) - 7 points
Ben Hunt (Broncos) - 7 points
Matt Moylan (Panthers) - 7 points
Benji Marshall (Dragons) - 7 points
Chris Sandow (Eels) - 6 points
James Maloney (Roosters) - 6 points
Blake Austin (Canberra) - 6 points
Brett Morris (Bulldogs) - 6 points

Woodsy is now the outright leader! He got 3 points this week - which says a lot considering we lost! Keep up the good work mate.

I don't believe suspension affects eligibility as it does in AFL awards.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it used to in the old days, but not now - please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure if you get suspended once you lose 3 Dally M points. If you get suspended twice in one season, you are then ineligible for the Dally M in that season.

So based on that Woodsy is still in the hunt for the Dally M. If we keep winning games through the forwards, I give Woodsy a real chance of finishing in the top 5 and who knows, he might just take out the whole thing…

It's minus 3 points for every week you are suspended

Ok so I have done some research and if you are suspended you lose 3 points for every week you are suspended. I couldn't find any rule about being ineligible because of repeated suspensions though.

Hold on I was reading the game thread and apparently Woods was crap…who judged this week and how'd he get 3"""

Great stuff though he's a champ...

LOL Woodsey went well when he came back on after his terrible first stint (after which I believe he was dragged), but 3 points?
Just goes to show how rigged the dally m voting is

Brings a big smile to my face that Benji is up there with Woodsy. Despite the fact he plays for another team..still a big fan.
