14 other clubs didnt line up for fafita because the sharks sucked us in….they had Gibbs, and called our bluff saying they would only take gibbs if we released fafita

We fell for it

They made a choice between Fifita ,BMM ,Groat and Woods at who would be kept

This is just wrong

If we'd paid Fifita what he was asking we would of lost probably Groat , BMM or another up and coming youngster as we would of blown the cap

Many at the time would of thought was madness

or even dwyer.

i think the truth is in the middle. sharks suckered us into letting fifita go. farah said that they wanted either gibbs AND fifita or no deal and we folded.

we shouldn't have folded so easy, but at the same time you can see why we did. We had many youngsters we didnt want to lose who looked to be have the potential to be as good as Woods or Galloway and we had Fifita who had talent but wasn't applying it and had a bad attitude.

unfortunately they cant see the future like we can looking back at it.

I wasn't too fussed at the time to see Fifita go ….. It's all easy with the benefit of hindsight who should been kept who should have been let go. Be interesting to see if Fifita can keep it up over a number of seasons .... Wouldn't take much to get his nose out of joint.

Hindsight is indeed a [This word has been automatically removed] at times, but we will never know if Fifita would have been the same player had he stayed and played from one side of our supposedly divided dressing room. He was not happy off the field at the time and certainly not performing to ability or showing much enthusiasm on it. A choice was made, so no use crying over splilt milk now.

I assume that early into the season the club will put in a decent and sustainable offer to keep a good former junior in Aaron at our club. Having done that, the decision whether to stay or not is then up to him.

I hope he stays but Manly normally get their man. I hope he has a good year this year for us.

Hope he stays but i am worried Manly are interested in him & Sirro, would like to see both of them put Pen to Paper for a new contract real soon.
