Meanwhile, back to the football… for Super coach punters, Moley has a tip that Aaron Woods will play for @Wests_Tigers; Buchanan to bench.

well woods isn't on the nrl.com injury list for the tigers. Could have some merit.

Woods then replied asking if he was sure.. No further response from rlw mole as yet

he's in my dream team what do i do ? do i highlight him as a reserve and if he doesn't play what happens there is the Emergency player used ? didn't play it last year … anyone have any idea?

Ayshford was smashed vs Roosters, Lawrence crook as rookwood and out of form, MM leaves the field injured in the NSW Cup trial, Woods 19th man - How is this supposed to be a good prep?

If Woods is fully fit YEP he should play but why pussy foot around Mr Potter? Mind Games with Wayne Bennett? Sorry - the death of MF was a wake up call - it should have stopped the spin. Our boys need CERTAINTY! Not MYSTERY!

What makes you think they don't know? Woods would know if he was going to play or not on Monday as would the other players, its us, the media and the opposition they're trying to keep in the dark.

As for Lawrence how can he be out of form before the season has started? 2 weeks is more than plenty for Ayshford to get over his concussion. The extent of BMM's injury was also never revealed so for all you know it could of just been a stinger. I just don't understand all your negativity before a balls been kicked.

Why wouldn't we give Woods right up until game time to prove his fitness? I'm sure the players have a better idea if Woods will play than we do. The banter between RLW_Mole and Woodsy last night seemed to indicate that he is probable for Monday.

I wonder whoul would drop off the bench if true??

BMM,Pettybourne,Thompson,Bell????

Tahts a tricky one???

BMM???

I'd drop Bell, no doubt a hard worker and a solid player but probably lacks the impact of the other 3, If not Bell then i'd drop Thompson. BMM and Pettybourne will be lethal impact players for us either on the edges or in the middle

concur with Willow that I only want Woods back if he is 100%.

To important player to our season to be mucking around with.

If fit to play I would keep Bell and Buchnan in prop rotation and would probably drop BMM.

Thompson was good in the trials and has a bit of mongrel.

Pettybourne played well for South and has a bit of a go.

Just thinking outside the square I think we should pick teams based on the opposition we are playing.

As the Knights are a big pack I would leave either Fulton or Anasta out the team and try and pick our biggest pack and bench.

My pack for this game for example would be

Blair
Bell
Pettybourne
Woods
Legend
Galloway

Anasta/Fulton
BMM
Buchanan
Thompson

whoever hasn't got their fitness up to scratch.
one is thompson and i would guess bmm.
playing one bench player over the other isn't going to be the difference between a win or a loss.

i'm not a fan of conditioning players to only play 20mins from the bench.
would prefer we are more prepared for injuries when they are needed to step up with more game time.
while you still have most of your squad injury free, rotate the bench players more and get them the match fitness they need while it is still a luxury.

In the video of Royce that was posted on the official site this morning he says they will decide at the captains run if he will be fit to play. Hope he is good to go!

If he is even close I would assume we will still carry Reddy and allow the dropped player out for NSW Cup duty. (Captains run is Saturday if I remember correctly)

I just don't get why we would carry Reddy. I want to like him but can't see anything in his game that is much above State Cup.

So I'd prefer a forwards bench.

I was thinking if Woods proves fit carry Reddy as 18th man, let the forward play on Sunday and take him as 19th man

It is always handy to have some sort of utility player on the bench… Reddy while no superstar is a solid player with a good work-rate, and enough skill to float around a few positions in a pinch. Im sure we can all remember the shambles that was BMM on the wing...

Granted he doesnt stand out as a star, though he is never the weakest link either...

As I understand, you have up until just before the start of the game to decide whether to play or replace him this year. Also, Buchanan is a good cheapie.
