Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

The haters are well off the mark with Woods. Yeah he could have conducted himself a little better last year in front of the media but he gave his all for the club for the rest of the season.
He is experienced at international level, knows our style and when it comes down to it, loves the club. If we want to win a premiership, we need these sorts of guys. Losing his SoO spot this year means increased bargaining power for us also as far as I'm concerned. I would take him back. Moving into the best years for a forward….

Aaron probable made the wrong decision regarding his career path ,it has cost him plenty …all of us make decisions that we live to regret unfortunately. I do not see him coming back to Concord mainly from a money perspective as the team in general has more immediate need for a second row and center. He still would be in demand especially if the interchange is reduced ,he has a big motor and plays big minutes and the off load .
I wish him luck as he always put in 100% for the club ,should never of been made captain as he was not suited at all .

Probably made the wrong decision? No probably’s about it. Not only would he not be on the bottom of the ladder had he not left, he still would have his blues jumper….probably.

Wont be keeping his Kangaroos jersey either, how quick things can change.

I just cant see woods leaving the Dogs unless it's here
Could you imagine woods going to Parra
No way
Playing with moses again would not appeal to him
I think he would hold moses and his uncle some what responsible for the situation he is in now
Newcastle and Canberra are to for away for him
His tattoo of the postcode shows the love he has for where he lives
He doesn't want to move anywhere
Roosters maybe
But I think if he goes anywhere it will be here
Where he plays his best footy
Woods knows he made a big mistake and I'm sure he is sorry for that
He doesn't want to make another

I've been critical of Woods but yes I would take him back.

I think Cleary can bring the best out of him and turn him into a team player at lock.

8\. Russell Packer
10\. Ben Matulino
13\. Aaron Woods

I wouldn't be forking out more than 500k though. Dogs can pay the rest or he can take a pay cut.

where would you play ET

I don't think after M'Bye that we have enough money in the cap, especially if we're after Kelly, Lowe & a utility, plus the small chance of Nathan coming over next season. Despite how much he may want to come back, you've gotta think of the logistics too.

ET to the edge. He has played well there before. Matulino has played second row before.
Someone needs to start owning the right side 2nd row position. Lawrence has the left. It a difficult position. MCK, ET, Rochow, McQueen, Alioia, even Hooth, Matulino or Twal. Someone needs to put their stamp on it.

Losing the Blues jumper was the final nail in the coffin that was all the decisions he’s made in the last 12 months.

WOODS AIN’T NO KNIGHT
AARON Woods has ruled out any chance of going to Newcastle, which was hyped about on the NRL grapevine this week.
Woods prefers a return to Leichhardt with Ivan Cleary’s Tigers now the Bulldogs are quietly shopping him around in a bid to alleviate their salary cap problems.
Parramatta, keen to get some height up front, has also loomed as a possibility.

how many players have gone to Sharks over the years

Gibbs, Beau, Fifita, De Gois and more

There’s gotta be an investigation!

Ayshford, Seumanufagai, Manaia Cherrington, Heighington :crazy

Stuart Flanagan
Luke Covell
Laloa Milford
Junior Rociqa
Pat Politoni
D Fifita
Mitch Brown (via Dogs, though he was theirs to begin with)
Hassan Saleh (via Saints)
Richard Villasanti (via Warriors)

Woods is the biggest myth in Rugby league.
He is not close in class to Packer or Matulino.
Twal is already a better player but he perhaps is on par with Eiso who has upside.

I’m amazed at so many people judging players based on name and so called stature in the game. We need an impact prop if Grant leaves. Not a plodder who walks backwards and takes 1 minute to play the ball, misses tackles and gets rolled over by Jason Clark.

He’s productive and plays big minutes. He ran for as many metres as packer and Matulino did combined on the weekend. He’s not a hard hitting, enforcer type front rower but he’s a quality player.

If what was said about his family copping it was true then that is disgraceful.

Family should never be brought into it.

No they shouldn't be brought into it, but it happens all the time. Happened more recently with David Warner's wife & kids. I really don't get it, families usually have nothing to do with the wrong actions or decisions of a player. As if a kid or a sister/brother would have anything to do with it!

If you're ticked off with the player for doing something you don't like, fair enough, but it's the lowest of the low act to target someone's family because of what that person did. Unfortunately, there are a lot of arseholes out there - I have no time for them.

Alot of people on Facebook say they will jump ship if woods joins. :roll

Yeah and I’ve been saying I’d mail my membership back for the last 5 years but it never quite happens. He comes back, plays well and everyone moves on.
