Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

I have nothing really against Woods except he should have turned down the captaincy when offered. But I prefer that guy Fonua who had to run out of the barbers when only half shorn - he is a real goer. Can we find another one like him for a forward for about $400K. I have no idea his contract.

I wonder if Tedesco caught on to the fact there was going to be big trouble brewing and was smart enough to steer clear. We know Woods wouldn’t have.

No, Tedesco did what Tedesco always does, looks after himself.

Tedesco "Smart" enough….???
Doubt it.
More likely just liked the Roosters back door ways.

Trying to look at this without the Tigers part of me i can see that the club was in a total mess at the time he made those decisions, the damage was done. The board should have removed the coach at the end of the previous year. I can see why some would forgive him and welcome him back.

That said i dont think he is the type of player we should go after. i feel we need an enforcer. Another Packer.

While we are at it move on Felise, Grant and Sue, they are trade able commodities.

Having enforcers is great but you need someone to make metres too. Packer has run for a little over 80m combined for the last two games… hes gone missing. Anyone know if he’s carrying an injury or something?

When Packer goes off the field we lack muscle.

Twal and Huth are the guys you are talking about to do the dirty work.

Mats is a good mix of both but if you are going to market we need a Leeson Ah Mau or the like.

That's true, but he wasn't doing much when he was on to be honest. I think for the vast majority of the year Packer has been awesome, but the last couple of weeks he's gone missing.

Woods would be a great pick up , we have to look at this whole thing as a buisness , we are in a comp to win it , Packer and Woods to Start , then Matts comes on to replace Packer , that's a big step up as woods can offload as well , little guys running off him , Packers Does the dirty Work then Matts comes on and continues , you would still have Alex and the Huth in the team with both able to play front row or back row if needed ,

Goodbye to
Grant , Sue , , welcome back Aaron

This guy was captain of a sinking Ship , he played in a team that was on the bottom for a long time , he had a front office that was poorly run , he had a coach that was rubbish , he had to put up with his team in the news every week for all the wrong reasons , he could walk back in here and do a job no pressure , he would do well in this team

I disagree on Packer and Mats comments, they have made some massive tackles in the context of games.

I think our entire pack has been bettered by our opposition in the last couple of weeks. Our poor handling and penalty counts starving us from possession racking up our tackle count and exhausting players who have little energy to hit the ball up.

And we are 2 forwards shy of a solid pack.

We need someone like woods to make the yardage to be interchanged by Twal. Mats and packer would be interchangeable.
We need someone like a Tapau to replace MCK who is great of the bench.

I would say the weak link (if we had a 90min hooker) is ET. Huth is a better option at 13\. Makes more yards and equally good in defence.

Wont matter who we sign or who we play, if the hooker keeps throwing slow lobs out of dummy half we will lose the ruck every single week.

I think we can see that that is what has happened the last two weeks.

_And_ he was poorly managed. He's gone from the frying pan into the fire.

Not sure if a move to Newcastle would work for him either because they seem to have a bit of work to do.

If woods was offered $450000 to $500000 by the club and the Bulldogs paid a further $250000 I think he would come back
On his current form he is lucky to get that
The more he signs for the more the more pressure to perform
He may get offered more elsewhere but home is where the heart is
He played his best footy here and he has not been the same since he left
I believe he wants to come home
Question is does Ivan need him and at what price
