I thought it was interesting Graham his usual sparring partner wasn't on 360 with Woods, possible he's not too pleased with Woods pending arrival at Belmore and he may be a casualty of that.

Btw it was his usual pathetic showing on the programme he doesn't mind contradicting himself.

His best was"I would just like to clarify that when I said I want to play semis, I meant this year" :roll :roll

Could have been a Wests Tigers Legend, now just another Bulldog Player….well played Aaron, well played

He really said that?
A family member or friend really needs to tell him to shut up now. He's a train wreck.

Yeh it makes me think the rumours of him being shopped around might have some traction. His contract is backended in a big way next year and knights might bail dogs out of trouble. Its hard to believe the bulldogs would let Reynolds and Graham go but Des is under huge pressure to get a GF win.

i just wonder how he feels pulling on a WT jersey after saying all this in the media? as a captain, how do you tell your teammates to play for the jersey? i actually wonder how long he's felt this way. Even a manager earning $50k at the servo down the street with a staff of 3 people would have more passion for his uniform than this guy.

Yep, and something along the lines of, because that would be really disrespectful to my current teammates…..,,someone obviously pointed that out to him after the interview....looks stupider by the day now

Then watch the bulldogs fans go off…..Woods might become their Adam Blair 😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth:

He looked & sounded ridiculous in that fox interview. A couple of questions I would've liked answered off the back of his comments:

Sick of not playing finals footy, well why didn't he take responsibility as captain & leader of the pack to take us there?

At the start of the year he couldn't imagine being anywhere but the Tigers, so why didn't he re-sign then seeing as his contract had already been on offer for months prior.

Really disappointed that he is not taking any accountability & jumping ship when his club needs him the most.

He hasn't jumped ship. He's still here til his contract is finished that's what he was contracted to do

Agree GCT I don't see the same venom towards Tedesco even tho imo they are rowing the same boat.

I just watched this and the guy is a moron. Tedesco to me is just as bad but he isn't making as much of a fool of himself.

Moses is a complete twat but looks the best out of all of them. That is setting a low bar.

I think Graham is with the England Squad this week

Graham is in the England camp….

Tedesco has said his fair share of bagging the club, I'm sure he will get his treatment soon though nowhere near what woods has said

Just watched the NRL 360 segment. Poor Aaron. In five years time he is going to realise how badly he was advised in all this.

His brand is dead.

He is all over the shop. "I didnt really mean it when I said I was leaving to play semi-finals football because that, I have now realised, might be disrespectful of my current teammates" is basically what he said. Really? You are now only just realising this.

It beggars belief that this guy thinks he is qualified to comment on anything. I have never seen anyone more dimwitted regularly appear on TV.

I have never wished ill will on any footy player but gee I hope his time at the Dogs is a complete disaster.

Kangaroos prop David Klemmer says Aaron Woods needed to escape Wests Tigers' 'toxic environment'

Adam Pengilly - SMH

Aaron Woods' need to escape a "toxic environment" and the fear he would reflect on his career a decade from now with just one finals campaign to his name pushed the Tigers' skipper out the door at Concord, according to close friend and soon-to-be clubmate David Klemmer.

The Bulldogs forward has given a revealing insight into Woods' decision to turn his back on the club he captains to sign a four-year deal at Belmore, frustrated with the Tigers' lack of on-field success and salary cap space chewed up by players no longer at the club.

Woods' hamstring injury has robbed the best mates of uniting in a depleted front row for Mal Meninga's Kangaroos in the Anzac Test against New Zealand in Canberra on Friday night, leaving Klemmer with a mighty task to stifle Jesse Bromwich and Adam Blair.

But he has first leapt to the defence of Woods, who will be a sounding board for Klemmer this week despite again being jeered and mocked in a banner by some Tigers' supporters less than 24 hours before his Bulldogs switch was made official.

"You can put it back on the fans and say they're working in a job and they're not going too well or are in a bad environment," Klemmer argued.

"You're doing your best putting in the hard yards and see another opportunity come up that is healthy, in a positive environment that's going to better you and your family … you've got to take it. That's any human being.

"He grew up there. But if that was your brother or family member looking for a better opportunity in life you obviously back him.

"We're only in this game for a limited time and you need to look after yourself. He's the captain of the team, but if you're in a bad environment or a toxic environment ... it's a good thing he's changed."

Woods has labelled the Tigers' five-year finals hiatus – Ivan Cleary has an enormous job to stop it from stretching to six – as a key factor in his decision to link with perennial contenders Canterbury.

His friendship with Klemmer also held sway, although the latter told Woods he would support him whichever club he chose.

Woods was the first person Klemmer confided in after his newborn son was admitted to intensive care more than three weeks ago with an infected lung, his condition subsequently improving.

"He's always a helping hand and has time for everyone," Klemmer said. "That's what makes him such a good bloke.

"And he hasn't played semi-final football since 2011 I think it is ... he's 26 years old and he's a rep front-rower. In 10 years' time he doesn't want to think, 'geez, I only played one year of finals football'. That was a big motivation for him.

"He's the only front-rower trying to lead them from the front and it's a lot of weight on his shoulders.

"I think it's also higher up, how the club's structured and how they buy players [that was frustrating him]. They're still paying players from previous contracts and you can't buy quality players [to offset that]."

Warriors recruit Ben Matulino will shoulder much of the Tigers' go-forward responsibility in 2018 with Woods' current front-row partner Ava Seumanufagai set to link with the Sharks.

Woods and Klemmer:
Dumb and Dumber?

After seeing Woods on Fox tonight, I am glad he is going. The guy is trying to backtrack from all the pork pies he told in the Hooper interview. The guy dumps on the club, but when pressured to explain, he nows wants to move on and not talk about it.

Definetly trying to back track.
What? Now that you've dished out everything in a prompted planned interview you don't want to answer direct questions on live TV.
Either that or someone from the club has actually spoken to him and told him to keep his mouth shut about his issues moving forwards.
The way he responded was very unlike the laid back lumberjack. Well let's just hope after 8 weeks rest he will be ready to come back into Ivans team and help the team into the eight in the 2nd half of the year.
Was glad thought that he openly gave an opinion on the Brooks and Reynolds combo.

He did say though when the time is right that he will go into detail about his reasons for defecting to the bulldogs. Should be interesting.

Interesting though that he said he was always in communication with the club but around the time of the JT sacking he didn't hear anything for 3 weeks.
Wasn't that about the same amount of time that the club took to find a new coach. Sounds like they may have been busy during that time and couldn't make time for the captains opinion. Or didn't want it. Either way what do you expect you would think the CEO'S priority would be to secure a new coach for the club considering just a week earlier you came out and said "it's frustrating, (sorry it's a big word, hard to get out) the club hasn't settled on whether they are going to renew JT or go in another direction.
He may not think it but this lay off will probably be the best thing for the him and as a result our club this year.

I noticed that too. Great, now the club can expect another round of destabilising media reports. What a ratbag of a bloke. Not afraid to kick people, including teammates, whilst they are down.
