The guy is a complete goose, quicker he is stood down as captain and put in reserves the better.

He should not be captain but he is our best and most effective prop how would putting him in reserves help our club? Doing well this year should be our objective.

Karma big fella what goes around comes around…it looks like karma has found Mr Woods!

Compare Woods and Ava's departure's. Woods seems to need to find excuses for leaving. I reckon it's because he's not completely comfortable with the decision. He will regret this.

Every time he opens his mouth about the club he does more damage than good

I know what your saying about the reserves but I'm sick of hearing him, quicker this season is over the better….

Just watched the NRL 360 segment. Poor Aaron. In five years time he is going to realise how badly he was advised in all this.

His brand is dead.

He is all over the shop. "I didnt really mean it when I said I was leaving to play semi-finals football because that, I have now realised, might be disrespectful of my current teammates" is basically what he said. Really? You are now only just realising this.

It beggars belief that this guy thinks he is qualified to comment on anything. I have never seen anyone more dimwitted regularly appear on TV.

I have never wished ill will on any footy player but gee I hope his time at the Dogs is a complete disaster.

Joe Wehbe is not doing a very good job of whispering in Aaron's head space of late that's for sure….

Interesting reading Klemmer's views on why Aaron has left in regards to the missing finals every year.
Had it not been for 2 balls on the field in Newcastle, shoddy goal kicking by one M.Moses and a player betting against us we could have made up that extra point needed…
I for one am glad all these things happened now as it has exposed this weak minded puppet for what he really thinks in regards to his team and what he stands for. We are ridding ourselves of a pea heart.

It wouldn't surprise me if his brain really does work that slowly.

:roll does he actually have a brain….?

"I love the club. It's my junior club and a club I love being a part of. It is what it is." - very appropriate that the last bit squeezes into the pull quote.

You have to ask, why isn't his manager, friends or family telling him what a goose he has made of himself. I have said it a million time, they were all free agents and were free to up and leave for what even reason and they did not have to justify it to anyone, that just the way it is in pro sport, but they did have a obligation to show some respect to their present employer, the fan base, sponsors and most importantly their team mates, and Woods has dumped on them,Moses has shown what a pratt he is by tanking it after not getting his own way and Teddy has been pretty good and kept his mouth shut.

Come 2018 all this drama will have blown away and the club will probably be in its best position since day one of the JV to really build some success, but one thing that will not be forgotten is the way Woods has handled himself over the past few months

I don't know why people are surprised that Woods says dumb things, props aren't generally regarded as being potential MENSA applicants.

Oh and Gallen, Fifita and Klemmer also have dumb things to offer? How surprising.

The thing for me, how badly is Woodsie being advised by his management? His manager is not just there to jag big contracts, he is their PR and brand advisor as well.

Woods has alienated basically all WT fans, all 9.6 million of us (according to Marina) and a very large share of that blame falls to Isaac Moses. The guy has a big stable of clients but in this instance Woods has taken a very large number of miss-steps, surely his team realise that, and they keep making more and more errors.

He'd be better off like Tedesco and Moses and just keeping his mouth shut, that's the main thing differentiating the 3\. Tedesco is just as much of a self-interested contradictor, but he doesn't get a soapbox on NRL 360 every week to hang himself.

I'm sure Woods is obliged to do his interviews as part of his Fox contract, but he's heavily on the nose and the timing just isn't good in a contract year. Fox probably love the coverage.

He just keeps digging himself in further and further…...

Outgoing captain Aaron Woods wants peace - not war - with Wests Tigers as he looks to lead the troubled joint venture outfit to the NRL finals for the first time since 2011.
>
While he admits there is no turning back after agreeing to a four-year deal with Canterbury from 2018, Woods is desperate to leave the Tigers on a high.
>
The popular local junior was booed when he led the Tigers onto Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night against Cronulla, ahead of his much-publicised move being confirmed the following day.
>
Things went from bad to worse for Woods when he tore his hamstring during the 22-16 loss. The injury all but rules him out of the State of Origin opener in Brisbane on May 31 and, in a worst-case scenario, he could also miss the second game in Sydney on June 21.
>
The star front-rower will be sidelined for up to eight weeks but he hopes to end his time at the club on a positive note.
>
"I don't want to make a war: Aaron Woods versus the Tigers," he said on Fox Sports's NRL 360.
>
"I love the club. It's my junior club and a club I love being a part of.
>
"It is what it is."
>
With endless focus on the future of the Tigers's so-called big four, Woods said had done enough talking this season without needing to explain his reason for leaving for the Bulldogs.
>
"I'm not going to go into it fully at the moment because I'm with the Wests Tigers until the end of the year," he said.
>
"I don't want to disrespect my teammates, I just want to enjoy my footy with Wests Tigers.
>
"When it does come to the Bulldogs time, that's when I'll talk about it.
>
**"I didn't say I wanted to go the Bulldogs to play semi-finals.** First and foremost when I spoke to (coach) Ivan (Cleary) I said I wanted to play semi-finals this year.
>
"That's the job I'm looking forward to doing. I want to get the Wests Tigers on the front foot and playing semi-finals, starting this year, because I've missed it the last five years."
>
The 26-year-old Origin and Test star said he would have stayed with the Tigers in an ideal world.
>
"There'a a lot of 'coulda, shoulda, woulda'," he said.
>
"It's what's happened at the club. So the club's moved on, I've moved on. I just want to rip in for the Tigers for the rest of the year and play the best footy I can."

Like Ink said, this man is nothing but a fool.

Now that Woods is out for 4-8 weeks, it's a good opportunity to give the captaincy to someone else. When Woods is fit again, we can say that the stand-in captain has done such a good job that he will keep the gig. Plus, if he misses (up to) 8 weeks, he will come back in round 17, not many games left so no point handing back the C.

What he is now saying…I have been told to pull my head in and go into damage control, but come October when my contract expires than I can start dumping on the Tigers again.

The man is a total fool
