Accountability

It starts at the selection table, if the selectors keep persisting with the same side week in week out it sends a message that the efforts we're seeing every weekend are acceptable.

In my opinion at the moment there is one walk in start up selection, no. 1

I'd be happy to watch us get put to sword if we we're blooding new blokes but not if we are continually sending out the same blokes.

Accountability = effort

I'm sick of seeing the same blokes go through the motions without consequences.

Even though they play again on Thursday, surely now they have to make changes. Its hard to justify to blokes looking for a start in first grade that the same team that lost by 54 will be picked again next week.

The coach doesn't miss the tackles, or drop the ball, or give away silly penalties or kick the ball out on the full…...all of those things are done by the players.

But I do believe the coach has a big input into setting the culture/standard in the club.ie Bennett sets the culture/standard at the Bronco's....Bellamy does at the Storm. Between our Admin / Coach & Players the place is just a rabble.

I don't know what the answer is but JT is not the answer........how many games between now and the end of his contract next year will we lose........its pointless, get rid of him now and start again. And th players are not innocent here either.....there are 3-4 guys there that nd to go badly.

I do feel sorry for Teddy........such a talent playing with that rabble....him and lawrence tonite never stopped trying.

As for Brooks who missed the tackle for the 1st ry tonite.......son if you think your worth $800k a year, I suggest you go and find it elsewhere.

The only change would be halatau out with his thumb woes
The rest of the team will stay
Including super stars Milone, Lovett, Rankin and Brooks

We dissed Benji when he did arm grabs and was called a turnstyle
At least with a bung shoulder he was still more effective than Brooks

Brooks leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, worse than Milone and Lovechild ATM

We arent motivated and lack a smart game plan

Today anyone could see we didnt turn up, we played flat & tackled high.
This sits with Taylor not the players.
At halftime it wasnt Taylor ripping into the team either. Instead he had his head down sitting on a chair.

I supported Taylor last year and have been willing to give the team a go, but today was a disgrace on all fronts and it did start with the coach.

At least Sheens would have plastered them at half time

What a miserable lot, the players, the management, the coach , the whole organisation and now its making us fans miserable too

We have to pick the best team that we have and we have to start getting the most out of the players that we have. I'm not sure the answer is in picking reserve or holden cup players but something has to change.

It starts with the club itself. We're just a second rate club. Always will be i believe.
Theres no expectation on anyone at the club. Not the players or the coach or the staff.
Our place in the comp is to just make up the numbers and thats how the club likes it.

The coach though cannot keep rewarding poor performers with instant selection in the NRL.

It's time to get rid of this pathetic culture at the club and bring some accountability into the club. 2016 is a write off. Take the hits on the chin for a month, give a heap of players a promotion and drop a heap to NSW Cup. If the dropped players want big dollars and to play in the NRL, they have a month to prove they deserve it by earning their spot back in the side.

Next week against Souths, they are going to be majorly keen on a win and with their side being similar (but more skilled) than Canberra, we could cop another 60+ point hiding.

But I'd still go with this team:

1 - Tedesco
2 - Nofoaluma
3 - Simona
4 - Chee-Kam
5 - Addo Carr
6 - Drinkwater
7 - Littlejohn
8 - Seumanufagai
9 - Farah
10 - T.Grant
11 - Edwards
12 - Lawrence
13 - Sue

14 - Fine
15 - Griffin
16 - Graham
17 - J.Grant

And i'd stick with them for 3-4 weeks then take a look at who should be dropped/promoted from there.

Hang on, so you'd drop most and promote from lower grades right ?
The one common denominator you are leaving unchanged is the COACH..

HE HAS NO GAME PLAN
Cant get them to go in the right direction and he has been in the "rebuilding" phase for more than a year

I'm guessing he is as clueless as me when It comes to coaching a First Grade Team

Totally agree with your thinking and your proposed line up .

The team left their attitude in Sydney this evening, no two ways about it. Only a couple of players had a decent dig.

I don't know what the solutions is at the moment. We're lacking in front row depth and aside from Lawrence, we lack punch in the back row. Centre depth is an issue and so is wing.

Our attacking structure needs tweaking. Teams know the danger Tedesco presents and are readin our sweeps out wide where he chimes in and they're getting numbers out there now.

Brooks and Moses value is surely dropping at the moment. Their decision making at times is poor and the kicking game is also poor. Defensively neither are FG standard.

We won't beat Souths on Thursday. Mentally the team looks broken and are resigned to their fate for the season.

I thought Brooks started pretty well with an attitude if running at the line. That lasted for about 7.5 minutes. He's just not first grade standard I'm afraid. For those that say he's young and needs more time. I don't buy it. If our forwards are doing it tough, then just once I'd line to see him create something. And on a side note, his constant intercept attempts have worn very thin. Missing 3 tackles in a row in one set of six as he did in the second half today shows an appalling attitude.

The coach picks the team, and he picked a left wing and left centre who couldn't defend at this level.

The coach, along with anyone else watching, could see our left hand side getting torn apart. Same again and again. Milone nowhere to be seen, Rankin forced into a late 1 on 1 with a fast moving winger, or Rankin forced to take the inside man then Brooks coming across late to cut out the pass to the extra man. Too little too late every time. We didn't have real outside backs, and we got found out hard.

60 points without plugging the hole JT? Seriously? Try something different. Put Lawrence defending at left centre with Tedesco on his outside. Hell try anyone else defending out there, couldn't have been any worse. JT Had 80 minutes to solve the problem and he just sat on his hands while the same thing happened. It was last year's Penrith game all over again.

I can't blame Milone, Rankin and Brooks for the whole night. It wasn't just the innefective tackles, the momentum from half breaks and the offloads, it was the Tigers complete lack of a plan to contain an opponent when they find some ruck speed and then create a bit of second phase. Textbook stuff, and the Raiders are far from the best at it but it was like the Tigers had never seen an offload before. Suddenly we're rushing up to try and contain them, they get a pass away and there's no one at home in defence.

On Thursday night we play the Bunnies, then a bye week, then we play the Broncos. Now the Broncos can properly tie up a defence. Taylor's got a nice long turnaround to prepare the boys to try and contain Brisbane, and we'll find out then if he can coach his way through a problem.

After the post match presser its clear JT didnt motivate his team.

Anyone who wants to blame players etc only has to take a look at our team to see an unmotovated, players playing out of position, dumb tatics bunch of rable

We came last, last year and guess how we are fairing this season.

Juniors aside, Taylor isn't setting foundations or building blocks for future success. It's clear he cannot motovate or lead this team. We have played Taylorball, we have played non Taylorball but Taylor the coach cannot lead this team to improve or be a finals contender

It's time for him to go now, so a new coach come drive change this year and then have options on recruitment for next season

This isn't just about this season now it's about progression beyond.

Same line us fans have been hearing for 10 years, a whole generation of players in the game have come and gone and we are still building. Absolute joke of a club, damn this gold, black and white running through my veins, i wish i didnt care so much anymore. another week of depression.

It's always about building for the future isn't it. I'll tell you what that means. It means letting go of good performers like Austin and Taupau to ensure we retain players like Brooks and Moses by overpaying them.

If there was some sort of forward progress I'd get it but there isn't.
