Adam Blair and Moses Mbye

Some of the posts here have an underlying tone of intense jealousy over what blokes are earning.

You can't begrudge someone for what the club wants to pay them to join.

As far as failed recent signings go, you'd have to say guys like Chris McQueen and Josh Reynolds haven't worked out - purely based on the amount of games they've played.

I probably should not be indulging in the negativity of this thread, but...

Adam Blair is the worst for me, mainly because it cost us Fifita and Gibbs, and sounds like it was the start of our salary cap mess.

Reynolds and Mbye were bad, but they didn't force us to lose anyone we wanted to keep.

Honourable mention to paying 600k each for Moses and Brooks well before they were consistent first graders.

That too. Mbye may not even make the be ch next year.

He’d be a pretty good 14 I guess. I used to rate him but he’s fallen in a heap. And I am irrationally annoyed at he, Reynolds and McQueen having a laugh at the clubs expense yesterday. They can all get stuffed.

What did they say? I missed that..

All NRL players get paid to much, most of them do not deserve what are are being paid, especially most of the players at WT's:angry:

They all responded to a Daily Telegraph article about us looking to move on our high paid duds. It was a few pages back in this thread I think but they were having a bit of a laugh about it. They're idiots.

in Blairs defence he was signed out of the Melbourne machine before anyone knew that melbourne players generally only perfirmed well in the melbourne set up. We rolled the dice and bought a nig name player and lost, i fear Christian Welch might be the same from the same melbourne machine.
i think Anasta would be the worst signing we have made

What about Harry Grant he's from the "Melbourne set-up" !!! But i know what you are saying and it seems to me that players that come from any other club to ours FAIL

For dollars per minute on the field Ballin would be up there as the worst

Man i had completely forgot about Ballin.

agree forgot about Ballin
lol
signed by an egomaniac
Ballin and McQueen both taylor signings
Anasta was a Sheens signing
it makes Cleary signings seem ok lol

Mbye hasn't been anywhere near as bad a signing as others. Reynolds, McQueen & Ballin were and are heaps worse. It's not even close.

I think Blair and Mbye are though pretty comparable. Average players who make it onto the park but were signed as star players.

They're all terrible signings but at least Mbye has played SOME good games. McQueen, Reynolds and Ballin were just a complete waste of money. Packer too.

Ah right, thanks Avo. Yeah, hopefully they are in fact being moved on.

I would add Matulino, with his amazing running records, 30m per game, only beaten by even more useless Packer!

Haven't read much past the initial post, but isn't this just more to move to the lament thread.

Just about the whole forum is lament.

No Matulino had a dig. He played pretty well, especially in 18.

Yep. Packer has played some okay games for us but overall he has been pretty poor.

Matt Ballin, a JT ego signing to get rid of Farah, played 70 minutes across 3 games over 2 years, and look at the mess it caused, we are still paying for it
