Adam Blair leaving WT ?

**Blair in demand**
Clubs keep circling Kiwi Test forward Adam Blair. Blair, the Wests Tigers back-rower, is under contract for next season but may seek an early release. His tenure at Concord has been disappointing, to say the least. Blair though continues to garner interest. We tip he won't be a Wests Tiger next season.

Unless there are quotes from players, coaches, managers or CEO I wouldn't read into it. We need blairy next year he has been one of our best players since moving to prop, plus potter said earlier this year he wants Blair and is apart of his plans.

Funny thing is the article fails to mention his good form in the past two months. Just another rehashed article to stir the Wests Tigers pot after last weeks feasting.

I think the club was probably getting a expression of interest from rival clubs, but things change very quickly in football, with Benji going the salary cap pressures have been eased and his form has been great. On the other hand we dont know who the club are talking to behind the scenes (like big Izzy).

Its from The Lurker….not a great hit rate much like that fool The Mole, but its nice to dream.

I'm sorry.. I'm actually starting to like Blair. I'd be pretty disappointed.

Found his feet in the front + his best efforts last game, sure he isn't the 'best 2nd rower in the world' anymore but him leaving would leave a big hole.
Since potter mentioned he does all the little things right I have been watching closely.. His defence is strong, he always puts pressure on kicks and probably has the fastest play the ball.

He is on a lot of cash which is silly but it would be stupid to drop him.

Blair has been good in the front row, I'd like to keep him. It was our recruitment departments fault for the whole Blair saga. We over paid for him and expected too much too soon from him. He got the blame for the whole2012 season when a lot of players struggled. He's a slightly above average player who got offered great player money. Not his fault. Would rather he stay and keep working hard, then for us to pay half his salary to turn it round at another club

Last week was his best perfamce for the club, to date.

If we get rid of him we lose money anyway you see it, keep him, let him to continue to improve.

Shorten his minutes, with a good rotation, that way when he's out there he can give 100% for the shorter periods he is on, have a bit of impact!

Smokin….Just out of interest..When they do shop players around ...Does the actual player in question know this is happening ?

Yes. It's never a shock to the player. It's business they understand that more today then say 10-15 years ago.

Problem tigers face is that we are paying % of players contracts who are at other clubs because we released them while under contract. That still counts towards the cap

The club has been shopping him around for 2 months. No takers. Only Brisbane have shown interest but shirked at the price tag

Have heard that some interest was shown by ESL clubs and that is our major hope

Any truth to that ??

This would be a brilliant scenario!

I like him now but we paid overs. Can't do much about it now now. The best option is to keep him and significantly reduce his contract next time or simply not offer him another contract.

I reckon Blair has been good since moving to the front row, is only blemish since than is the brisbane game
