If I were JT, I'd say to Wayne - You can have Blair, but you have to buy out his entire contract. I'm not paying him a cent. Otherwise we can do a straight swap for Parker, Hodges or Thaiday

Just proves to me Bennett is overrated. Sure he is a good coach, but he is only a super coach when he had the cream of the crop playing for him. It's time the salary cap is scrapped in favour of a points system, that way things like the Thoroughbreds, with their backdoor top up of contracts won't come into play so much. Very few people have faith in the cap these days.

Spot on Furious
Bennet is just an average first grade coach unless he has a well above average squad.
Most of his success at the Broncos was on the back of a SOO strength squad. even right at the start.
St George had a top( but underachieving ) squad when he arrived and all he had to do there was get them all running in the same direction
The Knights stint showed just how overrated he is as a coach .
He is always portrayed as a saint in qld and someone who always wants what's best for the game. Crap!!! He'd rip the heart out of any team if it meant another premiership for Him.
His little deal with the millionaires club at the Broncos said a lot about him.
And him running out on his done deal with the Roosters showed that he is just another money hungry Self serving Coach.
Anyway whoever he wants , he'll get.
Remember the millionaires club is still there.

Sounds like a manager leaking a story to the telecrap as his overpaid, under performing client comes of contract! Hope he stays for 2015 as he WILL have a good year, they all do when it's contract time, and I feel he owes the club for his three years of overpaid mediocrity! But if he wants to go fine, as long as we don't pay him a cent for 2015, I would hate to see the tigers panic and make the mistake of paying overs for this bloke again!
