Adam Blair what a waste of money

Adam BLAIR for Prime Minister!!! He is BUY OF THE YEAR!!! Who EVER bought BLAIR should be given a ice-cream to match how soft he runs for 5 hitups and 22 meters gained!!!

Lets just hope he doesnt turn into Andy Carroll, liverpools 35mil signing who is currently in the top ten list of worst signings in the history of sports.

I don't know about that, Torres is pretty poor at the moment too…

Most times we had the ball, Blair was out in the centres. Was that a ploy or was he just having a bludge??

I'm not willing to write him off after only 4 rounds because the guys a class player but he does need to start producing otherwise the pressure on him will only get worse.

Well this is from inside the tiger camp.

All I can say is what I see. He is being isolated and missed a heap of tackles. Very firey and has given away a lot of penalties. Only runs the ball up a few times a game.

Please please tiger99 why do you told this believe

As others have said, Blair's on the underused left edge. Unless he is given free rein to chase the ball he won't be hitting up unless the ball is passed to him.

he will be fine and prove to be very good for the team.

whislt it would not look like this now, he will come good and eventually alot of praise will be given to him.

I havent given up on him , I think like a lot of others on here he is playing to wide, & he is carrying an injury as he had a fair bit of bandage on Monday Night.

It is too quick to judge. I am worried but there are mitigating factors to his poor play. Ignoring the poor performance of most players in the side, Blair is transitioning from the rigid structure of Melbourne to the ad lib play of the Tigers. This will naturally take adjustments to his game.

If you remember, Ellis was quiet in attack in his first year (although immediately brilliant in defense). I think an 80 minute second rower (whose name doesn't end with 'Ellis') who is playing uphill all match (because our backs keep making errors on our line) is going to struggle.

Certainly Blair has be a disappointment so far, but it is pointless judging his worth at this stage.

Exactly, thank God there are a few here who understand football.

Blair is just getting used to the tigers style you will see the improvement soon and for those of you saying dud buy of the year what about sandow at parra now my 2 year old niece could see that was goin to be the biggest dud buy in the history of rugby league

Exactly Tigers & Storm have two different game plans which means it will take the tigers at least till round 8 to get to work well as a team

I'm yes and no. Was he worth it? definitely. Is he playing like it? Almost. He hasn't been torrid. He's been good particularly on goal-line defence and conversely he's handy to have up inside the other 10 because he runs a good line. But then that's the thing - we have and endless number of forwards who 'run a good line' but only Galloway and Ellis can run a good _straight_ line. Which Blair should also be capable of given his size and power, he just doesn't do it.

Give him time to adjust. Our teams not firing anyway, so it might be difficult for him. I'll reserve my judgement till the latter part of the year. Ellis is the only player in my books that immediately blended in.

What a load of BS… he' a professional footballer. Yes he needs time to adjust to dominate, but I'm sure he knows how to catch the ball, run and tackle. I know they're only footballers, but it's not rocket science! The bloke is not even trying!

blair was always going to come under more scrutiny than anyone else as he was "the big buy"…
to be completely honest i have so far been a disappointed as i had such high hopes for him in the tigers side, but to me it is like a really hyped movie you see and you dont think it is that good. but then, over time, you watch it again and then see what people were seeing - those who just saw without expectation. for me, i am still hoping he will be my pulp fiction: i hated it first time but now think it is a classic.

of note personally, however, is that when i spoke with my dad about him when they first bought him he said (paraphrase) "nope...all he ever does is lurk around in the backs..." and on more occasions than i can number, he has been spot on.

i hate to say it (for the tigers sake), especially so early on in his tenure at tigerland, but it is looking like big jim is on the money again.... i really hope he finds his feet in a new structure, and especially style, very soon because i can see so much potential in him to be awesome for the tiges.

on a kind of related note, we were both very happy when they signed bell, but frankly i have been more disappointed with him than blair. i dont know if it is game time or what, but when they signed him i thought they had grabbed a really underrated player who would become a big time guy for the tiges this year. again, i hope this comes to fruition.
