Adam Blair

The actions of those who ran 30m to join in should be given the highest punishment. In particular, Brett Stewart should be slapped with 12 weeks. It is disgraceful footage seeing him run 30m and try to king hit Blair.

The way he taunted Gallop when he returned to footy may come back to bite him. He is an imbecile of the highest order.

Yeah Ive heard a few of them whinging and whining about the knuckle.

Everyone applauds it in origin and despises it at club level?

Don't forget everyone laughs now at the "Fibro-Silvertail" wars and even use the images in marketing. It was not so humorous back in the late 70's early 80's and saw the careers of some players extinguished.

Bob Cooper was the really unlucky one, first to copa big suspension, unwarrented IMO

What about Phil Rothfield claiming it was the worse blue of all time, please…..wouldnt make the top 100

Manly v Newtown in 81, Wests Illawarra in 82, about 1000 SOO fights, even Dowling and Tamati much worse

Yeah too true mate. It was pretty wild but not even the worst in the past 5 years.

Rothfield get stuffed you drunken back bender…

Disagree entirely he came in with a shoulder charge not a punch, team mates should come in and back each other up.
As I said on another thread, what Lussick did was disgraceful, punching Blair on the ground whilst 3 or 4 other blokes were laying on him.
Everyone is calling all the Manly blokes dogs, but what do you want, your players not to come in and let your mate get pummelled. None of the manly players (except Lussick) threw a punch when they came in.

Shoulder charge? First shoulder charge I have ever seen with a forearm. He connected with his arm, not his shoulder.

Yerh looked like a swinging arm…wild haymaker to me.

Enjoyed that immensely...not a good look, no.....but meh

Brett Stewart shouldnt play again this year but would be shocked if he got more then a week. Glen Stewart and Blair will be lucky to play again in 2011, so we could be missing Blair to start 2012.

Why is that Jas? all they did was have a blue. there was no dirty stuff between those two. Anything over a week would be a total over reaction and an outrage.

This is where all the work manly have put into conning the telecrap etc into thinking that manly and b stewart get a raw deal from the NRL and Gallop will pay off.
They'll get light slap on the wrist suspensions and maybe a fine which doesn't affect who can play.
They are scum.

Blair will probably get more than most of the manly flying 5 on 1 squad combined because of his uppercut in the initial fight.

Hope i'm wrong…

There are strong similarities between the actions of Brett Stewart and those of Danny Williams in 2004\. The only difference was that Williams connected. Brett Stewart should get 12 weeks. Running 30m to be third man in with a flying swinging arm to the head of player. Thankfully, he did not connect.

His actions were the worst seen in the NRL since 2004.

I see why your User is Goose… you are one! You need an appointment with opsm, he came with a swinging arm going straight for Blair's head. Yes you back your mate up, but the way they went about doing it, 5 jumping on Blair whilst G. Stewart and Lussick were still throwing them on the ground was disgraceful. Back you mate up, dont be a coward about it though!

In one of these threads there is a still photo of the moment of contact.
b stewarts fist and forearm (the bit from the hand to the elbow, some distance from the shoulder) is in direct contact with the side of Blair's face and it is obvious he and his arm are moving at serious speed.
Definitely not a shoulder charge gone wrong.
A cheap, cowardly king hit is a better description.
& agree with eye of WT for the rest of the manly cats.

With a 1 on 1 either stand and cheer your mate on or (probably more properly) pull them apart.

Spot on Gary.

Shoulder charge my arse Goose. The guys is an absolute dog. Running in a throwing a punch. How he didn't get sent from the field is a joke.

And even in your twisted world if that was a shoulder charge - what was he doing running 3o mtrs do put a hit on when the fight was one on one.

This is being discussed in 5 different threads :crazy

One in Wests Tigers, one in contract discussion, 2 in National Rugby League and one in general discussion.

I encourage everyone to take 5 minutes and look around before starting a thread.

Who gives a shit mate, people want to have their say - its a forum and as you're a moderator so rather than post about it, do something about it.

Mate - who do you think you are you hero. Every single thread on here has your 2 cents on it. You give it a break CHAMP.

Ken Y

No worries einstein, ill lock every thread on it and direct people to the thread that was started first if you like? Or should i try and do the right thing by others who have taken the time to post their thoughts in various threads?????? Ill choose them over you, so i wont lock them.

I just wanted to make a point for people to try and look around so this doesnt happen too often. As it sometimes does. It makes the forum and the "subject' being discussed much more accessible and enjoyable.
