Adam Doueihi #227

Doueihi is due to meet with his agent Sam Ayoub this morning where they will sit down and discuss the pros and cons of both offers before making a final decision.
Now let’s see?
At the Roosters he could get a few games while waiting for Smiths return, then sit on the bench.
Or?
At the WT he could have a no.1 jersey and go about proving Souths made a bad move.
Just Doowit !

Lol never that simple when the Roosters are involved.

It really should be a no-brainer if he wants the position he's after, and I would assume (legally anyway) more money than the Roosters can offer.

It's terrible how he has been treated by Souths, but I don't see any of those headlines.

When is the announcement being made? I can't handle the suspense.

I am expecting something in the next 48minutes.

The decision will show quite a bit about what type of person Doueihi is.

Option one: Sign with the roosters, take the coin, get played out of position, have a comfortable life but limit future options.

Option two: Sign with the Tigers, earn slightly less, play in your preferred position and have the chance to prove yourself as one of the games superstars (worthy of a 500k+ contract), and be in a position of negotiating power next contract.

It already concerns me that having found 1 club dumb enough to pay 500k+, he wants to lock that sort of deal for four years. I wonder whether he questions his own ability/hunger.

Surely he would be better off taking a 2 year deal on that sort of money, getting regular game time, showcasing his ability and looking for a 800k-$1m contract in a couple of years time.

That’s exactly what you would expect from someone who is confident in his own ability.

Agree completely. Will he take the easy way out at Chooks, taking the kickbacks, if so then he ain't worth worrying about and he's of the same ilk as Matterson (low integrity). Or does he genuinely want to succeed, in which case he'll come to us.

That rubbish in the papers about his family whingeing I hope was made up, for if that was true then the former sums him up, and we didn't miss out, he did.

Not really fussed how this works out as long as (If we do sign him) we are not paying for Souths back-ended contract mess.
My preference is stay with what fullback options we currently have or go for something proven like Meaney from the dogs.
This guy has the same taste as Latrell. Pass!

Going all in for ado car would be the much better option
This guy is unpr9ven and has the LM entitlement feel to it. Very dissapointed IF we do pick him up and we puck up most of the backended tab.
Still think he will be a rooster rooster man

This is really weird though as Sam Ayoub his manager is surely pushing him to take more money.
Then again, going to Easts he gets to say he was in a premiership team. Keary will probably move to half and AD can take Mitchell's spot in the centers. Someone will offer him a 800k salary in future and Easts won't take a 500k paperweight.
Look this is probably a tit for tat from Easts, wanting to get a player back from souths for taking Mitchell Latrell and souths wanting to ensure Easts release Mitchell.

Sadly it means we miss out on prime talent. But hey lets face it, the prime talent we got in the past was either built by us OR we took a risk on players low on form (Prince, Hodgson, etc.) Or imported talent (Ellis).

I would really like to get Meaney, though I worry it might become a bit of a pipe dream like Curtis Rona.

His manager wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't explain to his client what is on offer. Hopefully being a Balmain junior, he will come to WTs. Size, skill, pace, passing, kicking and experience in end of year games would be a nice addition to the team.

It's hard to fathom some of these players AD has said all along he wants to play FB there is only one way he will play FB at the Rorters injury to Teddy or SOO duty its sad that these players believe the smoke people are blowing up their A****

Going all in for JAC would be dumb as at this point. We need a fullback pretty bad. Not a flashy winger.

I thought Teddy did his pec?

I don't think that has been officially confirmed by anyone

I tend to agree with this. I love JAC as a player but we need a fullback more than a winger at this point.

We definitely have a 6 & 7 as good as any team. We now have a good stop gap 9 until Liddle recovers. Mbye is a pretty decent 1. imo
That’s a top 6 spine. imo.

cant mmbye slot back to fullback JAC to wing
talau and JL in centres

I'd have no issue with that as I think Mbye is our best fullback, but apparently Madge doesn't.

Manu would be their next best fullback behind Tedesco anyway, not Doueihi.
