AD has some talent, but grossley overated. Bring on Hastings at 5/8. As i said previously, teams will target him., Not enough speed for a 5/8.

He was crud tonight. I love him as a player. I didn't think his defense was puss. That game shows why you'd play him in the centres.

Is he coachable? God, I hope so.

I dare say he's one of the hardest workers at the club, always wanting to learn and develop his game. That's the difference between him and some other guys, he has his issues but he works his ass off to get better and he genuinely cares about this club.

I don't see that. I watch him off the ball as much as with the ball and I think he's lazy and lacking urgency for much of the game.

Don't really see that, he's one of our most involved players in attack and defensively while he has issues, it's not coming from laziness he just doesn't understand his defensive positioning

He'll continue to get better for sure. He loves the club and hates seeing us lose I know that for a fact. Be stupid to give up on him this early into his career

I have a high regard for Doueihi and believe he will emerge as one of our best players. I also believe representative football is not beyond him if he can improve his defence and awareness. Like all our roster, he would benefit from Sheens' knowledge and guidance.

Has a lot to learn in the offseason.

Ball hog, unnecessary cut out passes and poor defence.

The number of times he killed attacking opportunities tonight by going himself or stepping back inside was terrible.

I understand why he was punted as 5/8 and honestly don't know what his position is.

He's the best we've got. He's allowed an off night. Needs to work on his positional play and defence but brooksy did and now he's prob one of the best half-backs in D.
Needs a better coach and someone to mentor him.
Still too young for captaincy, we don't want to burden him with looking after this rabble as well. He'll grow into it

I think Deouehi is good, but he doesn't control the game. Neither does Brooks. It's tough to watch.

Fair enough he might not have a position, but unlike Mbye whose in the same boat, AD is one of our only shining lights. He’s a hell of a footballer

I reckon giving Brooks the captaincy tonight did his head in..same as it did mine..and Brooks made us both right

If Doueihi is so mentally fragile that naming Brooks captain puts him off his game, he is not half the player that his fans think he is.

I mentioned it in the other thread but Madges coaching is very perplexing...

AD is captain material... a lot of people have mentioned this on the forum. He's a future captain for sure, a lot of leadership qualities. Our captain Tamou goes down and instead of doing the logical thing and naming AD.... he goes Brooks... a guy who's been playing well but appears to not have a voice on the field or be a captain.

One occasion when Stefano knocked it on, I saw Moses Mbye talking to the ref, going through the motions in regards to the captains challenge... where was Brooks?

This is another massive mistake and mishap by Madge.

Just like after losses we want accountability and instead of dropping players that deserve to be dropped..... such as... Talau , Mbye, Nofo, Jimmy Jet / Tamou, etc etc etc... he drops some one like Seyfarth or Cini.... undeserving. This is extremely poor form in my opinion and sets an extremely bad example.

There is no egg shells. Either the players have scared Madge into what may happen if he does his job or he likes them too much to upset them. Either way, it all is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

AD did have an off game tonight... it didn't register with me at first this may be because he wasn't made captain... that does make sense... I hope he is tougher than that.

What a great captain he would be if that happened.
If that is why he played terrible it actually justifies Madge not picking him would show immaturity & hardly a model for the other young guns to be modeled off.

He is a good player but he showed tonight regardless of his downer reasons he has work to do if he wants to be captain.

Just because someone on here wondered if he had his nose out of joint doesn’t mean it’s anywhere near true.
I feel sorry for the bloke trying to carry the team every week when half of them don’t seem to care.
Conversely, what a great captain Brooks turned out to be.
A real model for the young players…. not.

Brooks isn’t captain material anyone who has watched him over the years could see that.

A. He was upset about being overlooked for the captaincy.
B. It was just one of those nights.

Do you go to work and try your best after you've been overlooked and don't feel appreciated?

I'm not disagreeing with you at all and I hope Adam isn't sooking about this but...

**This was Madges chance to make a statement. Unlike he has shown all year. He should've backed the youth and made a concious choice with the future in mind. Massive mistake not utilising this situation to make AD captain. One small thing overlooked that could have changed everything.** **

It wasn’t a massive mistake in over looking AD as captain. AD didn’t step up at all yesterday.
Is what it is, I know you love him. I think he is good as well but don’t fog the glasses. Reality is if he was Captain he would be copping a bigger bagging than he already is for what was dished out. He doesn’t speak up at all with the squad & has massive defensive issues. Putting the C on him wouldn’t be smart until he sorts his game out 1st & actually cements a position. Once that happens cool. Until then he is a long way to go for him to be captain material.

AD is not fast enough , or skillfull enough to play in the halves. The centres might work, but i think long term , another utility player.

I would have given Madden a chance next to Brooks. Given time i think he would complement the side, with his short kicking game, and elusive running style. His defence might be tested, but he won't be worse then the others that have played there. Plus he will pass the ball more often, and not just stand like a startled Roo in the headlights. AD to centre , Mbye to fullback appear our only options now.
