I can’t remember him owning a top 13 spot before we signed him. He has a lot to prove before becoming a marquee player for us.
 
Doueihi had a lot to prove this week, but he missed the chance.

Started off defending 3 or 4 in from the wing in a typical halve’s position but after missing a few tackles and letting a couple of tries in, it wasn’t long before the coach moved him out to a center’s position. Tough tits, mate, what do you expect the coach to do?

The big question is, where can you put him in the defensive line? On the wing? Even that’s a specialist position these days. He’s got to be able to stop back rowers. That’s just bread and butter for a 5/8 (or a center) in the NRL. Defensively, he’s a liability. On current form he’d have to score a couple of tries a game to compensate for his missed tackles.

Dhouehi’s scored some great tries in the last couple of seasons. I was really excited about him coming back but he’s been terrible. Maybe he needs a few games in the reserve grade, I dunno, because I’m starting to think it’s psychological. The club should be very wary of spending money on him. What’s he worth atm?
