Adam Doueihi #227

Yeah AD should play where he is told.

But surely there is a process that should be followed when there are 'delicate' team decisions?

I'm not sure of the processes at the club or any first grade club but is this how Bennett would have handled the situation, tell someone on the Thursday they are playing out of position?

Did AD know early in the week? If not, he should have?
Is this how a player would have reacted to Bennett in this situation?

You seem very pro-player in this.

Regardless of what transpired today, in this modern time when an employee asks for time off - management has no other response but to grant it. The most troubling issue is how the whole story with official quotes and specific details was so neatly presented for the leeg world to digest and pick apart and mock. So very disappointing, from all angles.
Actually there happened to be a Code Sports journo at Tigers training as it unfolded...wasn't leaked

I'm surprised Doueihi wasn't selected in the centres in place of Herbert.
Do you think it might have something to do with his arm grabbing defence against more nimble payers of the last month and the regular shooting out of the line, slipping over and leaking points like a sieve? In the middle corridor he does does not have to make decsions to jam, the players aren't beating him with a shift of pace or a big step. I guess the coaching staff wanted him playing as a third half to spark our attack and AD is too thick to understand the reality of the situation.

I just knew something was up watching the way he played lately. Since coming back from his injury in 2025, then for most of 2026, he looked really committed in the way he was playing - in all facets of his game. He ran hard, tackled hard, was willing to do the little things well. He was even willing to play centre and do what was best for the team. He seemed like captaincy material.

But since returning in round 17, he was back to his old ways. Not putting his shoulder into tackles, just grabbing with the arms and sliding down the attacker, going for the glory plays, not executing any semblance of a game plan. I thought he was past that rubbish, but seems like his ego grew as his supercoach scores did. And now to top it all off, he is refusing to do what is best for the team, only thinking of himself.

100%. It looks like its starting to implode and the dressing room is divided between those with Benji and those not on board.
Where are you hearing rumours that the dressing room is divided? My understanding is that there may be clash between Luai and AD but it is no wider than that. Having said that I have no solid links; it is all hearsay. Interested in your mail.

Let’s put this into context, this all comes back to Luai , he should be the one stood down , benji has pulled the wrong rein , so he has failed badly to win in the last weeks now he has pissed of one of our best players , to keep a player who has f***** this club over the last games , AD can’t just spit the dummy, but I would maybe have done the same thing .
This could be the last nail into this club , we my see others players wanting to walk and the chance of getting others to join the club , maybe it is time to just throw in the towel, we just go from one disaster to another, god help us , because the coach and manager don’t seem to know how to run a club .
Quite the opposite, for to many years the club has let players set the agenda. Im sure Benji is well aware he was part of that history and is serious about ending that culture for the benifit of the club.
Is he a great coach? probably not atm , but he is at the very least trying to set a standard.
