OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

One thing AD does have is passion. Okay his dummy spit a few weeks ago was not a great example of club passion but I think it was a result of frustration with the club culture and where we were heading. We just need to find a role for him in the 17 that bests suits his skills and 6 and 7 are not one of those roles
“One thing AD does have is passion”
Passion for what AD wants.

You cannot force a player to leave if he does not want it. He'd be in our starting 13 now if fit, the only question is where. I'd suggest the centres instead of Saukuru.

Yeah, but if here at all or not playing 13, I don’t see him in our run on side when all are available. Instead, he is more of a 14 or Jack of all trades fill in.

Agree with the kicking game, it isn't good enough, but the way Adam plays isn't worth it (at seven).

Adam wrecks our attack and leads to fewer attacking chances for those around him. He ends up scoring some tries through individual efforts etc and at the end we say 'oh he was one of the best in a losing side'. He is very much like Galvin.

Happy for Adam to play 6 or Andrews. I thought he had a decent kicking game in the 1 game he played.

Agreed, apart from the ^^^^^ bold bit, as you pretty well argue against him being in either halves jersey in the previous paragraph.

Someone here recently wrote of him needing to have a Clive Churchill Medal worthy like individual performance when he plays in the halves, just to balance that which his play, particularly ball hogging or poor delivery, normally detracts from his edge and/or the team as a whole.

Harsh, but very true for mine, and think it's fair to say that we all witnessed the differences out wide yesterday arvo, with tries galore there and mostly involving fringe players.

Yeah I understand the criticism of AD not digging into the line and hogging the ball too much but wouldn't these be the easy things to fix, compared to having size, good direct defence, a good & big kicking game, speed and an excellent running game?

Lindsay Smith from the Panthers can even dig into the line at first receiver, these days.

Too slow for centre, too weak for 13. Too slow and a hog for the halves. And a complete POS on top of it all. Dont want to see the grub wearing any tigers colours ever again.
Warriors round 4 2026, around 1.50-mark Doueihi makes a great break using his step and pace. At near the 3.00-minute mark, he makes a long break striding out using his pace over the long distance. His pace is deceptive because he is a long strider but there is no doubt over the long distance he has plenty of zip.

But his tackle efficiency might be a bit better 🤔

And there you go again latching on to one good moment like an autistic person with their favourite dinosaur, and saying “seeee” while ignoring the 10 bad ones, whether that be his defensive efforts or running his winger out of space and refusing to pass, costing multiple tries.

Here’s a newsflash for you: just because someone does something good once or twice doesn’t mean they can do it consistently and that is more than evident with AD.

So true YKW but it was so good to see ball movement and long range tries. It’s sort of got me fired up again !!!
Go Tigers !

Given the way he's been moved around, I'd still pencil him in for the 6 next year and get him a dedicated halves coach over the offseason.

He's got a lot of brilliant attributes. If he can bring out a bit more of a playmaker mentality, then he'll be a real asset for us. You could see him trying when he came back for that game after his brain snap, but he just couldn't hit the mark with his passes.

I have a feeling he runs it a lot because he's not confident in that aspect of his game.

It wasn't a brain snap, it was another episode of repeated behaviour.

AD isn't a team player, it's all about him and to hell with everyone else. He isn't a half, a lock a centre or a fullback. He is a serviceable 14 at best.

He has been here 7 odd years and hasn't saved us from any spoons. He hasn't been the difference maker in any improvement of the team.

He refused to play and rated to the media on his teammates and the club.

He should have been shown the door already, he is a cancer that will continue eat through the joint. The exact type of player that has fulled mediocrity for the past 15 years. The player entitlement dictating terms to the club or they won't play.

If the club has any sense they will show him the door in the off season...

He was of our best early in the year. So good, he was going to crack Origin if he didn’t get injured. That’s a big deal considering our Origin track record. Or lack thereof. He might be a prick, but you can’t deny how good he was for the majority of the season. Even when he returned from his dummy spit in the Parra game. His attitude sucks which is so sad cos he has so much ability. Whereas Madden’s attitude is great, but he’s very average ability wise. Give Jock Doueihi’s ability and he’d be a rock solid first grader.

Scoring individual tries doesn't help you win games. We won 3 games past round 8 this year. AD didn't feature in any of them....

If's don't count, he is a 14 at best. What other NRL half back dose he unseat.....

And yes he is a giant prick....

He almost cracked Origin playing where did. That’s no mean feat. I’d personally love to see him at lock, but he doesn’t have the heart. I’m happy for him to be in the halves till we can finder a better alternative (I don’t subscribe to Latu/Andrews so soon). However, on the flip side, I don’t want him there because I don’t want him to feel he’s gotten his own way. This is where it is blatantly obvious how much we are missing an experienced, respected man manager. The best we have is a guy who considers himself one of the boys among the players and gets off on the fact they all idolised him when they were kids.

According to whom,
Media and rusted on Tigers fans?

I don't see him taking anyones' place in any of the 3 games.
You could 'maybe' argue Burtons additional man spot?
That's a big maybe...
Burton has been there many times before and is a far better player.

Burton didn't make any of the 3 sides,
How was Doueihi ever going to?

It's Hogwash.

Adam doesn’t have a spot for me
He won’t be in the six or seven
Twally owners the lock spot and by daylight , nobody in our team gets close , Brailey helps if twally needs a spell
Latu and Andrew’s need their chance but I would still bring ina genuine 7 even if off the bench swapping with Latu if needed , just until he gets those games under his belt with no injury

Even if there was any hint of Doueihi playing origin that door is now shut, he's not a team player, proven for the second time.
