OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

I’ve floated the idea of going on a date with Margot Robbie …

Unfortunately that hasn’t happened either ..
Harry Triguboff put forward an expression of interest to purchase the Tigers in 2015, but HBG rejected it. That was before we went on a consistent slide towards three wooden spoons and a string of losing seasons.

Yes ..he was interested and than ruled it out shortly after I believe … the question is, is he interested now?

look , I’d love it to happen , but that was 10 years ago and he is now 93 years old , although I understand he is still an active businessman … if he took comtrol , what happens after he passes on ? Are his kids interested ?

Arthur Laundy expressed his interest about 12 months ago didn’t he?
I think he would be a much more realistic option, the only concern I have with him is would he turn his back on the South-West?
Regardless of who owns the club, I think it’s important we maintain a strong connection to the South-West and if someone like Arthur Laundy was prepared to do that, I think he would be a perfect option for us.

What is the southwest producing?
As an outsider, it seems our focus there through HBG has led to the current situation.

It’s producing big numbers of junior players and producing a steady flow of high quality junior players that will only increase as time goes by and with the right people overseeing it.
Without the South-West, our junior base is only on par with the Roosters and we do not and it’s unlikely we will have the same cash flow as the Roosters to overcome it anytime soon
Unlike many, I don’t see the joint venture as a problem, if done right it should be an advantage over rival clubs.
I don’t care if we get a private owner, in light of so many of our supporters getting upset everytime their is a storyline relating to HBG, it’s probably better we get a private owner, just for the sanity of our fans if nothing else.
Then the biggest issue of all is getting our playing roster right.
I agree with you and many others that I doubt Benji is, or ever will make a great coach, but I’m still of the belief that a great team makes coaches and if you get the right playing roster, even an average coach in Benji could get the desired results
Our playing roster is not far off being very good, but as I keep repeating myself about, you need a certain enenent of physicality, aggression, tackle break and line break ability and we still look tn be a few players away from being highly competitive in these areas

Harry certainly has way deeper pockets than Laundy …althoigh Laundy probably has enough money

Laundy expressed interest in the Telegraph when things were totally off the rails after the board got sacked , and there was an absolute media frenzy trying to push any angle of the story to keep it on the front and back page during the offseason … I’ll take it with a little skepticism given how in bed with the Bulldogs Laundy currently is .
