Sure he scored a few tries and showed some pace but he wasn't dominating week in and week out like Koro was when he was playing State Cup.
There were no rave reviews or demands that he must be selected. Most who watched ISP said he still had a way to go before being ready for first grade and most thought that if he got a couple of games this year, that would a good outcome for the kid.
Now people are carrying on like the club held him back from 3 years. Some of these people are posters I ordinarily respect.
I JAC left us because he got a better offer, so be it. I have also seen a lot of young players come into firsts and look sensational. Other clubs then identify their weaknesses, and these kids never get seen again. Im not saying JAC will be like that but it is not certain yet whether he will have a long first grade career but people are carrying on like we might lose Andrew Johns reborn.
So why is it that Bellamy can see enough in JAC to offer him a modest contract with a view to filling the vacancy left by Koro's departure?
Why is it that an inside back was selected on the wing even though his weaknesses were apparent from his first game?

Why are these names continually thrown about as first grade wing options when its apparent to everyone (except our coaching staff) that they are not? We finally get someone who is a wing option (actually centre is a better position for JAC) and potentially he walks!
@bp tiger said:if true , how the hell does this club move forward when we let players who dont cost much walk, and we dont have anyone better. u would think the club would have learned after the storm pinched koro but no we just keep on letting them go. getting to the stage were i dont care about football as much any more sick of supporting a team that seems allways going backwards ( have been a fan for 47 years) we just seem to be a joke side.
@Pawsandclaws said:And why wasn't he secured with a new contract early in the season?

@Curaeus said:If he now really doesn't want to go south, I can't imagine why a professional outfit like the Storm would want to try and hang onto him contract or no. He is still after all, a rookie winger, albeit promising, with only a handful of first grade appearances. Plenty more fish in the ocean.
