Last episode of the doco. our current coach watched Brooks kick to the tallest winger on the field and said "Why is Brooksy kicking there?"
It was said in a manner that left no doubt he hadn't spoken to Brooks about the kicking game

You hadn't discussed where and how he should be kicking before the game?
YOU'RE THE COACH!
You can only shake your head.

Not my interpretation.....

Cant beat this forum.

If youve beaten the same drum over and over........just start a new thread and talk about the same stuff.

Is there another Adrian Lam thread?
Is it wrong to want the club to sign the best available talent?
The chairman made it clear that there'll be changes so we need the best available coach to replace Madge.

Lam is that man.

The chairman stated no such thing.

"These boys put in each and every week. I have no doubt about their efforts and commitment and pride for the jumper but it hasn’t translated with results on the field and it’s just not good enough.

“We’re just going to have to sit down at the end of this year and work out what we need to do.”
"ask a lot of difficult questions but more importantly demand difficult answers."

Read between the lines .

The train has left the station.

Choo choo.

Read between the lines of someone that says the 1st thing that pops into his mind? At no point does he go anywhere suggesting their will be any change in the club. I think you will be extremely disappointed.

Clearly the chairman and by inference the board don't believe the players are the problem.

Hard answers need to be had.

So those hard answers would involve the c_a_h.

Would you like to buy a vowel?

Your eagerness to get rid of Madge is making you see things that aren't there and setting yourself up for disappointment.

Who volunteers to work on the "The forum loves you Adrian " banner for the first home game?

Assistant coach?

I'd prefer the dream team with Cameron Ciraldo.

Two non fossils.

Yeh, you're right, older coaches are super out of touch and unsuccessful.

Wayne Bennett, Craig Bellamy.

Those newer faces are going well though, Holbrook, O'Brien, Barrett, Walters....

You misinterpret.

Fossil is a way of thinking, not a chronological age.

I have to say O'Brien has exceeded my expectations. I didnt think he would get this Knights team in the 8.

Surely you are not expecting a coach to plan every move by the players? They are paid a bucket load of cash to play the game and that's been the issue, they don't seem to see the problems in the game with some of there decisions? Blind freddy could see that the kick to him wasn't effective, so maybe he should of thought about other options?

Call me silly but yes I do expect a coach to communicate a kicking game plan to his kicker.
I'm funny like that.

And he did plan the for the kickers to kick to the corners, but if you consistently kick to a corner where it's not working, then the kicker needs to look at other options i.e. kick to the other corner? They are expected to play with some thoughts in there head.

I would expect him to nominate players to target like other coaches do to our weaknesses. e.g If you make a break take on Mbye he'll pretend to fall over.
Or kick to Talau he's got hands like bricks.
Or attack nofa's wing he'll jam in for no reason.
Stuff like that.
In this case "Hey Brooksy, don't kick to the tallest player on the field". Complex instructions like that.

Adrian Lam would've.

I'd have Ciraldo everyday of the week. understands defence in the modern game like no other. young coach too, knows how to get the youngsters up for games.

Anybody have a list of all off contact & potential coaches ?
Me thinks we should give Madge the first 6-8 rounds of next season before making a decision
Now that we have sheens back if the tigers get off to a poor start Tim or kimmorley could become our coach or tim can just find a new coach for us

Ricky Stuart and The Sheenius go way back and still respect each other.

It was changed for me.
I'm happy to exclusively discuss the many many ways that Adrian Lam would be this club's saviour.

So now it's Maguires fault for not micro managing our little darling Luke Brooks.

It was a poor kick, he has them in his game and has had many coaches try to coach him up. Execution comes down the player not the coach.

I like Adrian Lam however and feel he would be a good coach for us going forward. He has a bit of footy smarts about him, that's why I'd recruit him. Recruiting him to fix players would be a mistake.

Corey Oaks is a know clanger waiting to happen under the ball..

Ok all you know all experts Luke was kicking to talau not oaks . Then Maguire says why isn’t he kicking to Croft, look where Croft is about 10 meters away so that was there right option. Says it all about you all.
