Nah, Driver of the Team Coach to Tamworth, is about it.
I am continually amazed at the people put up as future Coaches of this Club. Some people will take anybody as long as its a change and then wonder why it doesn't work.. Unless we are prepared to pay a million bucks a year, to get a Bellamy (not available), Hasler(not available),Robinson (not available) Bennet (remember Newcastle). Madge has two years to go ,let's see. Besides why pay nearly $1.4 million dollars to a Coach to leave us, then pay another $700k plus for a new coach?

Pretty sure there's a get out clause based on KPI's in the club's favour in Madge's contract.
Madge isn't NRL standard. Any coach that is would be an upgrade.
Emotional meltdowns and meaningless motto making is best suited to park football

Kick out a guy who has won premierships in the two of the biggest competition in rugby league, is also a head coach of a tier 1 nation for a guy who has done neither. Yeah, that makes sense.

No , I'd kick out a guy who has taken the club backwards for three years without any sign of improvement.
I was once young and good looking. Not so much now.
Time moves on for all of us.
Lam is the answer.

Long off season coming up.

Madge is here... Looks to be under no pressure from within for next year at least
We're going with juniors

Accept it

Not according to the chairman or the board.

He didn't say anything about change.

Lam is the answer.

No he is not. He has nothing to stand on when things start to go wrong and will be booted instantly as an escape goat. Once that happens the media will write how stupid the club was in hiring a rookie coach instead of not sticking with Madge. And the cycle continues.

You know Adrian's going to be very upset with all of you who have downvoted him when he takes over.
No matter, I'll start an Adrian Lam apology thread when he gets here.

Oh yeah.... The "end of season review"
Much like last year's and the one before that I suspect.... Long lunch more like it

I'd never death ride our team, but if the Bulldogs win on Sunday the sword of Damocles will descend on Madge before the board consumes their first zinger burger.

Hasnt Lam been presiding over one of Wigans worst seasons in recent history? (I am aware they are still 4th)

They've played 22 games this season while others have only played about 19. The super league has been disrupted with COVID and Wigan have been playing twice in a week on occasions. Playing twice a week has an impact on how they perform each game but they are higher up the ladder because they've played more games.

Anybody have a list of all off contact & potential coaches ?
Me thinks we should give Madge the first 6-8 rounds of next season before making a decision
Now that we have sheens back if the tigers get off to a poor start Tim or kimmorley could become our coach or tim can just find a new coach for us

He's had no cattle to work with due to injuries but much like the Roosters Wigan are still in there punching due to Lam's systems and processes......unlike us.

Last episode of the doco. our current coach watched Brooks kick to the tallest winger on the field and said "Why is Brooksy kicking there?"
It was said in a manner that left no doubt he hadn't spoken to Brooks about the kicking game

You hadn't discussed where and how he should be kicking before the game?
YOU'RE THE COACH!
You can only shake your head.

Sounded more like had told him NOT to kick there.... or wondered why he would be stupid enough to do it.

I know I'm preaching to Madge's cult, so I don't expect them to be impartial.
Brooksy doesn't strike me as a player who deliberately disobeys the coach on multiple occasions and that's what you're accusing him of.

I've got your back Brooksy.

me too #BackBrooksy

I'd bring him over as an assistant coach and let him know to bring over his buddy Bateman with him as well!

Cant beat this forum.

If youve beaten the same drum over and over........just start a new thread and talk about the same stuff.

Is there another Adrian Lam thread?
Is it wrong to want the club to sign the best available talent?
The chairman made it clear that there'll be changes so we need the best available coach to replace Madge.

Lam is that man.

Surely you are not expecting a coach to plan every move by the players? They are paid a bucket load of cash to play the game and that's been the issue, they don't seem to see the problems in the game with some of there decisions? Blind freddy could see that the kick to him wasn't effective, so maybe he should of thought about other options?

"These boys put in each and every week. I have no doubt about their efforts and commitment and pride for the jumper but it hasn’t translated with results on the field and it’s just not good enough.

“We’re just going to have to sit down at the end of this year and work out what we need to do.”
"ask a lot of difficult questions but more importantly demand difficult answers."

Read between the lines .

The train has left the station.

Choo choo.

Call me silly but yes I do expect a coach to communicate a kicking game plan to his kicker.
I'm funny like that.
