Karmichael Hunt or Israel Folau. I hope we never become a club that makes bs big money signings for novelty purposes, I'd rather sign guys who have proven they can actually play.

@turnstyle said:ever since hunt went to AFL i said there is not a single AFL player who could make the transition the other way. lance franklin is in my opinion the best AFL player, but i doubt he has the pace needed for NRL. i did actually go from aussie rules to rugby league and the two things i noticed were 1\. how much bigger everyone was and 2\. how much faster!
the first thing i would consider is whether or not the guy can tackle. im not sure any can. what AFL players would bring are great hands (rugby balls are so much better for handling believe it or not) and kicking. practically any player of AFL standard would get a 40-20 given a chance, but they are built differently and apart from a few (eg; campbell brown, jonathan brown, beau waters) i doubt many could take the knocks week in week out.
if he could handle the knocks, nic natanui would be even better than the daine laurie we all wanted. amazing skills and he would offload like SBW, and he is actually amazingly fast for a guy of 2m or so.

@TIGER said:You guys know way too much about AFL and probably can't really be counted as WT supporters. The fact you even know a players name and what club they play for sickens me to the stomach.
Please close this thread, as anyone who knows anything about sport or in particular "The greatest game of all" knows no AFL player could ever switch codes and do any good, not even to park football standard.
So it's a waste of time even considering it, especially on a RL forum.
