It doesn't work. Think he's just realising this so now darts are being thrown everywhere.

Just a query- was it Johnson at Souths who played wing and sulked until he got fullback or was it someone else? If so, and we are thinking about playing him on wing we are setting ourselves up for some angst. Unless of course we are getting him for fullback and Thompson returns to wing.

Im ambivalent about the signing, could be good. Maybe Jennings will also hit his straps too this season. Things might not be too bad for WT backline.

I could think of plenty of worse players than AJ. He’d be the best fullback at the club IF latrell does a 180. If not you have a class winger who at 24 is entering his prime.

You might be disappointed but as long as Gagai or / and Johnson come heavily subsidised and not guaranteed a position they would be great pick ups.

Best wingers, fullback and maybe Centres we’d have in the club by a country mile.

You can’t force a deal to happen.

What you have to realise is we have this situation.

We have a player desperate to leave his club.
This player has also indicated no desire to join our club.
He has and another club have stressed desire to do a deal if available.

So you have Latrell desperate for a decent deal with another club.
You have that club desperate to make space to sign him.
And that same club offering up collateral in order to make that happen.

It sucks that it hasn’t happened like the fairytale everyone dreamed.

But I have no doubt our CEO and Coach will make the best of a bad situation and sign us quality.

One day we’ll have signed a marquee that wasn’t pushed to the negotiation table by their former club but until that day, we’ve got to take what’s on offer.

If the rumour is true that we are getting JAC and Johnson, then you'd think Johnson is going to play fullback.

At fullback, I'm not keen...hell...I don't even rate him as a winger!


Why do you not rate him he as speed and does know how to finish I think he is a good player

He's poor defensively and he's really only a support fullback - he can't ball play and I don't see him break tackles...we already have one of those in Thompson.

Secondly, I'd imagine we'd be paying him around the $500k mark...maybe more? He's no better than anyone we already have and for that money is expensive for what he offers.

Not only is Johnston and ordinary fullback, he has recently missed most of a season through injury
