If the talk started a few months ago about signing him or even Gagai for that matter , there would not be so much opposition on the forum . The whole LM affair has clouded everyone’s thoughts . Idk if it’s because LM is an out and out superstar and makes everyone else subpar or mere fact that the tigers for the first time in a very long time have capability of going after the true elites of the game . But what I do know is if there had been no chase for LM everyone’s thoughts would be different for this possible signing

Alex Johnston 2014, 21 tries and leading try scorer, 2015, 17 tries and No.3, 2016, 11 tries in 18 games, 2017, 22 tries, No.4. Those stats are comparable to Radrada, Vunuvali, Addo Carr, Rapana, Holmes and Mitchell. Who wouldn't take any one of those? Johnston would be a massive signing at either wing or fullback.

I think AJ should play full back or wing.

For Souffs - and that would give us a chance of making the eight.

He is a dud.

A cross eyed ? dud at that

???

Reading through the thread I think majority don't want this guy.

The fans know a thing or two an should be listened to I reckon.

Fans know diddly-squat and should never be listen to in terms of who to recruit.

Amen, Mike. You are so right!

We were right about Braith Anasta, Matt Ballin & Adam Blair...

I was right about Tyson Gamble.

Maybe you're the one who knows diddly squat, rookie.

Blair was alright, poorly used by Sheens, as proven by his good form at Melbourne, Brisbane and Warriors.
Gamble was never given a go, he got one game at NRL level when the whole team stunk and got over 50 put on them, yet it was his fault. He showed when paired with Drinky he went quite well, after Drinky left he had poor halves partners playing behind a poor pack of forwards.
Ballin was bought in by the moron coach to drive Farah out, was an unneeded signing.

Somehow hit all the nails on the head. Wouldn’t happen at any other club though? I mean, really, Adam Blair as your marquee forward is more underwhelming than Jai Arrow

Lol you really want to look at try tallies after hopeless Jennings? This will go down the same route should it happen. Said the same about Jennings when we signed him.

Blair was never a marquee signing, Sheens tried to make him one, he wasn't a dud though, played 71 games in 3 seasons, so he was always available to play, the coach payed overs then proceeded to try and make him something he wasn't, he went straight to Brisbane and was used correctly and looked a world beater

He played well in a good team at Brisbane for a while, and of course at the Storm previous to him coming here, but has done nothing since. He doesn't go too well in teams like ours and the Warriors.

If you believe the rumours about Mitchell to Souths, I guess moving on at least 2 players, perhaps more will be needed. No club will pick up the full weight of Gagai's contract so it could be three players. Cash talks and which club has the most available now?

Reading through the thread I think majority don't want this guy.

The fans know a thing or two an should be listened to I reckon.

Fans know diddly-squat and should never be listen to in terms of who to recruit.

He was briefly hyped at Brisbane for a few big effort plays he made but he was largely the same fairly ineffective forward he was for us. He just doesn’t involve himself enough - seems he put all his effort into the 1%ers and forgot about the other 99%...he doesn’t even bother with the 1%ers these days.

If a coach starts listening to fans he should be sitting with them...T Sheens..

Wasn't that Gibson who said that?

Probably but I remember Sheens saying in relation to Fitzhenry..Fitzy then came out and had a blinder at FB v Newy in the wet which we won that also led to Sheens coining the 'so called fans'..

I will start off I have never really rated AJ. But he will be a decent signing .

Lol you really want to look at try tallies after hopeless Jennings? This will go down the same route should it happen. Said the same about Jennings when we signed him.

So if we signed Rapana or Radrada od Addo Carr you'd be against that too?

Nope - those players are completely different. They get their tries with class, not catch and flop.
