Pascoe said there will be nothing this week

Sooo

I like that. Much better chance of getting a result . imho.

Like the old super league day...meat potatoes standard players getting big dollar offers

I actually think he would be a good signing,

His game matches well with Luke Brooks.

AJ has the inside kick support game / chase short kicks/ back up the halves on breaks that we have lacked since Tedesco left. (Not comparing him: he is a obviously a very poor man's Tedesco and lacks any of Tedesco's tackle breaking or passing skills)

But he would give us speed and support on breaks.

Getting desperate now, How about saving your money for JAC.
Is Madge like Cleary can only sign players he used to coach.
Souths suck savs don't help them out.

Iam with you, ticks some boxes we need ticking. Not a super star but will walk into our backline. Just hope the contract is not four years and massive dollars..we have been burnt before

3 years would be my guess. This season + 2

Fine by me.

Hate the argument that he's better than what we got when what we have is so average.

AJ will get outmuscled every time and we'd all be filthy, and won't be setting up his outside men at all. Even Thompson can create more with his tackle breaking ability. Only area of fullback AJ is better is defensively (even that, barely).

Also, Nofo is grossly underrated.

But if kinda fast and can chase a kick is all we want...

AJ is no superstar but he'd be our best fullback and our best winger.

If we’re looking at 3 year deal, I only have one reservation. It gets signed, subject to a satisfactory Medical. We have had far too many players sidelined with pre-existing injuries.

The POM said Madge met with AJ twice...

Madge has wanted AJ for a while.

Madge is his old coach.

AJ is off contract and thus needs a big year....Souths FB spot is gone and wing spots he is depth only.

Despite all that, he does not want to come.

Again, is it a recruitment issue or simply a ridiculous run of bad luck. We have tried for DWZ..:Moylan....Lomax....Lattrell...AJ....

That is a LOT of fullbacks to try for and fail.

He didn’t say that actually... he said there have only been phone calls that have taken place, no one has met anyone.

Well he said Madge has spoken to him twice. Regardless, obviously Madge wants AJ.

So, why have we have missed out again? That makes five....five!!!...FBs we have targeted and missed. People seem to act like there is no issue.

Ha -@ElleryHanley you should work in the media.
What do you consider is targeting - just so I know how we missed out on them. Contracts offered?

If you want to believe we have not tried to get a FB mate then go ahead and believe it.

DWZ clear
LM clear
Lomax The Pom said was very close...

But go ahead and believe what you want.

Lomax is from the Illawarra . It’s a different lifestyle to the hustle bustle of the city . He was all set , apparently to all reports , mainly because he wasn’t offered the 1 at the dragons . Once he was .. then leaving your mates etc becomes really difficult . And for what ?

If WT plays their cards right they can get Johnston for a real bargain price.

How do you figure that. When there is quote like a above that state “a massive offer on the table”???

It depends on how much value you place on where the quote originates from.

Quote from who...his manager...?

Yes a quote without a source isn't much help

We've had 2 in 20 years, if I'm not mistaken? Ballin and Jason Cayless. 3 if you count Tame Toupou, though he didn't sign a FG contract I don't believe.

That’s 3 too many.
