Alex Seyfarth #232

The Luke Brooks of forwards, genuinely one of the most useless first grade players I have ever seen.

He’s a complete myth who will pull out a decent game every now and then which his brain dead fans will use to justify his continued presence in the team.

Seytard fans might be even stupider than the Brooks fans and that is saying something.
😂

Do you know what an appeal to authority is, dunce? Because you happen to do it quite a lot and it's generally stupid people who have no argument in favour of their ridiculous stance. Benji is a rookie coach who hasn't coached a single NRL season game yet and Webster made an offer but didn't do anything beyond that.

The only imbecile here is you. You, the one who claimed that a try in a preseason game against a depleted team proves that Seytard runs harder than our other forwards despite nearly 50 games worth of analytics and the eye test proving otherwise.
Not to get involved in your fight here but Seyfarths try shouldn’t have been awarded due to obstruction. True story.

Probably none, but it’s a well known fact that Andrew Webster is a fan of his ability and has tried getting him to the Warriors.
I’d say Andrew Webster is a pretty fair judge of a players ability and would know more than most of the self proclaimed experts on this forum.
Well known "fact"?

Where is the quote from Webster? In any case, do coaches have a 100% hit rate on players?

So he doesn't make any NRL teams, yet Webster rates him. Seems to contradict your point.

What does he offer Wests Tigers? Don't bring anything else into it. Stay focused.

Maybe stick to staying silent and letting people think you're an illogical idiot instead posting your inane dribble and confirming that you indeed are one.
Nobody can deny he played well in each appearance off the bench in the back half of last season.
He’s a no frills players that people love to bag and refuse to give credit to when it’s due.

Sorry, but my assessment was objective. He had a few energetic defensive displays off the bench in SOME games. Not ALL games.

That does not make him a walk up for the top 17. He is a reserve grader if we are being honest.

I've got no problem having him in the 18-30 to cover for injuries, but to think he is our number 1 choice at lock is scary. What is scarier is you are defending it.

I don’t believe he’s done enough to be a regular starting 13 either, but we don’t exactly have choice in that position.

Good banter boys. Seyfarth needs to watch Corey Horsbrough 2023 tape on re-run. That’s what a proper red nut plays like.
Man Keith Galloway.

Guy certainly put in for us. Even Blake Austin really ran hard as a wranger.

Seyfarth could go a more Feral Wranger look though. He just looks lanky.

His try had nothing to do with running hard.
He and Papali’i ran great lines whilst others were also running angles inside and out, which kept the Warriors guessing who Api would feed the ball to. That try was a team effort.
this is a very accurate summary of that try. I agree with others that Seyfarth is largely ineffective as an individual. However, Seyfarth is also one player that is consistently putting in to run the lines, whether he is the intended receiver or not. It is these repeat efforts that he has that makes me value him as a handy squad member and if some of our more celebrated forwards put in the efforts he does then perhaps the forward pack might actually perform like the top 8 pack many on here rate them as.
Ultimately, I think our team is pretty much stuffed is Seyfarth is our starting lock. I also think he should remain the starting lock as noone else is outperforming him for the position.

But Webster said....
Webster coached him when he was coming through the grades and was extremely keen to get him to the Warriors, that’s FACT.
The other FACT is he was a much improved player last season and was one of our better players whenever called upon.
Some people just like hiding behind a rock and only coming out when they can bag players they dislike, but are nowhere to be heard when the same player has a good game.
Another FACT is Benji obviously sees something in him to make it public knowledge he had the front running to become our starting 13, those who live in a fantasy world and think they know more than a coach who sees the players almost every day are simply off their heads.
So nobody including myself has claimed he’s a superstar or even claimed he should definitely be part of our NRL starting line up, but to slander a bloke who has spilled blood for the club since he was a young kid is nothing but a disgrace and to say he never runs the ball hard or has a go is a blatant lie.

A much more level headed and sensible post 👍

Bro... these are just your opinions. They are not "FACTS". You are the one in fantasy world.

How old are you son? Happy to go easy on you in you're a youngun.

It’s FACT not opinion.
If sounds like you are more knowledgeable than Benji too ?
It’s laughable many self proclaimed experts come on this forum.

But you don’t fall into this category?
When I give reason as to why I don’t believe certain players regularly perform to an expectation placed on them by many, I still give credit where credit is due, acknowledge their strengths and acknowledge when they play well.
Some players such as Brooks in the past and now players such as Seyfarth, To’a and Kepaoa etc have some so called supporters wanting to bag them no matter what and never acknowledge when they play well.
It works both ways if you want in be a loud mouth and constantly stick the knife into a certain player, at least have the respect to acknowledge when they play well.
