Alex Seyfarth #232

Thpught he qas fine last night. He dropped a pass that should never been thrown. Mbye our marquee player was rubbish once again and us the difference between us winning loosing. We spend the Packer/Mbye money on talent not crap and we are top 6 right now

I’ve been critical of him in the past, but he is one of the few having a dog defensively.

It’s not all about attack.

It is when you simply need to catch a ball that you couldn't place the ball in his lap any better

One step forward last week ...one step backwards tonight

What about Mbye doing that and then later throwing a forward pass? At least Seyfarth saved a try.

No argument here .....Mbye was good until he dropped that ball and then went MIA imo

His bombs sucked

His kicking on the third when we can’t defend also sucks.

After the game against the Warriors, Seyfarth's average running metres for the year are up to 52, his tackle efficiency 77.8%.

He has shown some effort in defence but surely Stefano, Musgrove or Amone should be there instead to give us some variety.

If everyone played with his effort we would be seeing different results but that shouldn’t dilute the fact he isn’t at nrl standard. Being infront of Stefano, Amone and other geez we are in trouble

Bring back the Huth

? never

Yes ....The Twuth would have won us a premiership

The week before

I've never really been a fan of him and have seen him as a bit of a plodder but boy did he play well tonight!

Some very strong runs and big hits

Was awesome to see him give it his all and not just play in 2nd gear and plod around

Fair.
I feel the same way.
He's shaping into a very good first grader.

Outplayed Mikaele tonight IMO.

He showed some aggression which was good to see ..

He is a ball of energy. The whole team lifts when he comes on the field. Leads the defensive line and doesn't seem to take any nonsense from opposition players. Perfect interchange player.

He can now take a hit too. That was his biggest problem previously. He didn't have enough size to absorb first grade impacts.

I'd give his performance an 8/10

🔥🔥🔥
Best of the benchies, IMO.

He had the size .. he’s a monster
He never had the bottle before to mix it up with the big boys until recently imo

He’s been growing on me for weeks, but he officially won me over tonight. Reminds me a lot of Elijah Taylor. Great clean up man.

IMHO, we made the right decision when we kept Seyfarth instead of Eisenhuth. They are a similar players, however, Seyfarth can offload, and hits the line harder.

Seyfarth has a way higher ceiling.
More aggression.
Eisenhuth is too placid.

It wasn't that long ago most were calling for us to keep Sam Mac over Seyfarth following his debut last year.

Based on current trajectory, Seyfarth will develop into one of our most valuable forwards.

He has footwork at the line. Hits with his shoulders in D and can link out the back like a 13.

Great example of a junior getting better by the week. Been a long while since we've seen something similar.

Simon Dwyer comes to mind.
