I could be mistaken but i think he missed read the play Kennedy scores before the break. Looks big but didn't look ready to me

Was a difficult one to read who was at fault for that one but he was around the play.

I question his selection with other players we have available. Taylor or musgrove for me.

All teams need to work out what bench players suit the new faster game. A running dummy half that can cover in the halves, 2 props and a 2nd rower that can cover lock or centre looks ideal.
If Grant can play for 80 min, give Walters a shot at 6 for the last 20 min, Benji can go harder for 60 min.

that makes sense

I thought it was garner who didn't move up when the ball went right only to be exposed by the shift back to the left.

In reality your bench forwards will need to rotate every couple of weeks to ensure you dont have blokes coming in off 6 weeks of not playing with no NSW cup. I'd say we will see Eiso and Musgrove rotate with Clarke and Seyfarth and also CheeKam rotate with Lawrence as well plus prob a couple of others as well

I agree with this. We have a much more even squad than in previous years which will be an advantage. Rotations will help keep everyone motivated and help to avoid burnout later in the year.

Wests Tigers have today confirmed that local junior Alex Seyfarth has signed a new playing contract with the club for the 2021 NRL season.

Seyfarth, who made his first-grade debut for the club last season, has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him in Wests Tigers colours until the end of the 2021 season.

A Dundas Shamrocks junior, Seyfarth progressed through the ranks at Wests Tigers en route to his NRL debut in 2020 — named the club’s Jersey Flegg Player of the Year in 2018 following his junior representative debut for New South Wales U/16’s in 2017.

Having featured prominently in the club’s reserve-grade side in 2019, Seyfarth made his NRL debut in the restart of the 2020 NRL season — coming off the bench to help Wests Tigers secure victory over the Cronulla Sharks. The 21-year-old would go on to play a total of four matches in his rookie season and will look to further add to that total in 2021.

Seyfarth said he was delighted to remain in Wests Tigers colours.

“I’m really happy to be able to re-sign with this club,” Seyfarth said. “I’ve grown up wanting to play for these colours and being able to make my debut for Wests Tigers was a dream come true.

“I learned a lot last year having made my debut and I’m really determined to get even better next year and consolidate a spot in the side every week.

“Coach Michael Maguire and all the boys have been really supportive of me since coming into the top grade and I’m looking forward to another really strong season with Wests Tigers.”

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said it was extremely pleasing to see another local junior commit to the club and congratulated Alex on his new deal.

“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to congratulate Alex on extending his playing contract with the club,” Pascoe said.

“Wests Tigers is a proud club with a rich history of seeing local juniors develop through our pathways program and Alex is a great testament to that system. He has worked very hard on his game to get to where he is now and we’re looking forward to him adding a lot to our squad in the year ahead.”

Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire said he was looking forward to seeing Alex develop further in the 2021 season.

“I’m very pleased to see Alex re-sign with the club,” Maguire said.

“I was really pleased with how he applied himself to his training last year and look forward to seeing him progress further as a player in the year ahead.

“We’re really excited to see another local junior debut and re-sign with the club and Alex is a great example of the pathways our club has.”

Didn’t get to see him play much this year. I’d like to see him get some more game time before I decide if he’s a keeper. He’s got a year to impress.

Good signing. He cops a lot of flak on here, but anyone who watched him and McIntyre play for the Magpies know that he was clearly the superior player. All he needed was to fill out a bit and he seems to have done that. The kid has buckets of raw talent and he'll shock a lot of people this year

Well we do need depth and he is cheap, so I don't mind the signing in that regard. If Seyfarth is going to cut in FG though he needs more size and needs to find his front with the ball in hand. He really got stopped in his tracks playing through the middle last season and laterally he needs to work on his defence. Apparently he does a lot of extras and applies himself well so all things being equal he should improve for us.

He obviously has a x rated pic of Madge ........he's worse than Buchanan ..at least he was dominant in defence occasionally

Can you add any more questions to Pascoe ??

If we are not careful he could become the next Brown, Tatola or Paseka.... ones that got away too early

Hope so ...because I've seen one too many Groats ,Shirnacks ,Buchanan's , David Fifita's etc ..you get the picture

Some people write off young blokes far to early.Yes its possible he is a complete dud(most never reach their potential)but i wouldnt give up with him just yet

I'm not trying to be negative ..but even in some of the players we've been unimpressed with they've shown us something ....haven't seen anything on field yet ...I can't believe we let McIntyre go ...he has so much upside compared to Seyfarth

I've seen Seyfarth play through SG Ball. Imo he is a second row forward. He played his best football in the second row, with a very high work rate and a good turn of pace in the clear. I'd like to see him given a go in the second row.

Respectfully Paws ..if he can't cope laterally in the middle 3rd ..he will get eaten alive on an edge
