There is no way Seyfarth is better than Garner. It's a shame our team didn't perform better with Garner still at the club; he's going to kill it at Penrith unfortunately.
I still think we'll replace him well and play a better brand that will make us successful though.

He is a worker and you need workers in any football team.He will never have a highlights reel that will run for longer than 10 seconds but his performances are designed to give you a chance of a win each week

Agree. Back in the good old days Jack Gibson had a similar guy called Steve Sharp at Parra. And we also had Steve Lavers at the Tigers.Very similar and never flash but you need some labourers on every site.

Yeah Seyfarth can tackle and has a good motor. But for the size of him , he just gets folded and manhandled every time he runs. Really needs to work on his strength in the off season to be a regular first grader imo.

I've seen the same thing happen in reserve grade though. He gets smashed but then gets back up and keeps going.

I can't see him ever being an impact prop but as a guy who goes all game and runs as hard in the 79th minute as at the 1st he is your man.

He is an example of an ineffective "pillow" prop, a kind the WT always had too many!

Maybe he’s just a target? Could it be an opposing coaches strategy to send traffic down his edge all game thinking he’d crack but big red defied all odds and didn’t.

Did anyone notice Seyfarth on a few occasions unload to players in better position (except once when we successfully used the challenge). He also intercepted the short kick off, was there to receive that pass for the run down the wing and provided the final pass for Toa's try. Seems there is more to his game than many want to acknowledge.

Per usual, his biggest fan rears their ugly head after finally having a good game after dishing out multiple 30m sub par performances over multiple weeks.

The guy can tackle but that's all he can do. He get's folded like a deck chair anytime he takes a hit up and has at least one loose carry or silly error in him per game. If you have a forward pack filled mostly with players who run hard and can bend the opposition line, you can get away with a Seyfarth. Problem is that our forward pack gets dominated most weeks and he has been a significant contributor to that.

Don't let one game fool you after the rubbish he has dished out throughout the season
