Alex Seyfarth #232

I'm all for upgrading Seyfarth the point I've made is you need players like him at every club. What I find funny is for all the bashing you do you haven't named anyone that's currently at the club who could do a better job.

We already have a a player like him in Twal except Twal doesn’t get driven back and put on his arse with every hit up.

I literally said in another thread that id give Sukkar or Bird (even though his discipline has been pretty bad) a go. Hell, I even said I’d give Sione a go there even though he’s more of a middle. They all have their flaws but they offer more impact than Seyfart.

You can’t carry a 80 minute second rower who is running for 60m a game and gives away dumb penalties. He is literally one of the worst second rowers in the game on a per minute basis.

So your solution is to plug crap with crap? Till a better solution comes a long there's no benefit in dropping Seyfarth.

No, my solution is try something different because the current solution is hurting the team. And you have no idea whether they would be crap if given the opportunity Seyfart has been given so you’re talking out of your rear end yet again. Not to mention their minute by minute production dwarfs Seytards so you’re going to have to find another excuse to keep him in the team.

There’s no benefit to dropping a guy who has literally cost us a game this season and nearly two others through his poor discipline? You Seyfart fans are Manson-follower level of delusion lol

How is the current solution hurting the team when the team has had it's best start to a season since 2019?

Holy goal post shifting Batman.

Do you think our start is because of Seyfarth contributions (noting he’s been part of all three wooden spoons), or the recruitment and effort of Luai, Turuva, May and Skelton?

It's not shifting goalposts Lol he's started every game in our best season since 2019. He's not the reason we are winning but to say he's hindering the team is nonsense & just shows how subjective your opinion is especially when your solution is to play props on the edge instead or play a rookie who only has 3 games to his name.

It aboslutely is shifting the goalposts but it's also a large dose of appeal to ignorance:

a) you're now directly associating our team success with him whilst conveniently ignoring that he played 23 games for us last season, including multiple starts, when we won a wooden spoon and

b) you're ignoring or at the very least minimising the recruitment of premiership winning players like Luai and Turuva as well as a top3-5 prop in the game in May.

So him literally costing us the Warriors game and nearly the Sharks and Dragons game doesn't qualify as hindering? How about having the worst production of any starting second rower in the comp?

Take a look at that and try gaslighting your way out of it because there's only one fool with a subjective opinion here and it ain't me. I know that as a Magpies fan, you're accustomed to rooting for mediocrity like Seyfart but the club is actually trying to get somewhere.

And yet with all that you still can't name anyone better to start over him

I literally did with reasoning like minute by minute production but you’re a bad faith clown who can’t or simply won’t argue the facts so there no point trying to explain it further to a moron.
You named middle forwards to start on an edge & then suggested a 3 game NRL rookie who's struggled in the lower grades could do a better job. Just because you try & act intimidating & hurl personal insults at people doesn't make you correct.

I named Sukkar (a second rower), Bird (plays lock, second rower or centre) and Sione (who granted is a middle but has shown he can be a damaging runner). I can include their numbers which show they’re all more impactful than Seyfarth but we both know you’ll just ignore them and shift the argument as you’ve done throughout this.

Not trying to intimidate but if that’s the way you want to take that being exposed for knowing little to nothing, it says far more about you than it does me. And I only insulted once you showed you had no intention of engaging with the evidence. So run along if that hurts your little feelings.

Gee, looking at those stats made me realise what a shit player Liam Martin is. 🤣

I can accept Seyfarth starting at second row when injuries hit. I can accept him playing off the bench. But we are asking for trouble when he is starting every game.

He's not strong enough. Never seen him bust a tackle or put a big hit on in my life. He's not fast, has zero footwork and isn't a line runner.

The only positive aspect of his game is that he is fit and can make (non-dominant) tackles.

Another great game by Seyfarth:

80 minutes
51m on 7 runs (second lowest in the team)
22 post contact metres (third lowest in the team)
50 tackles (third in tackles after Api and May who made nearly 4x the metres he did)
Piss poor defense on the final try
Dumb errors right on Souths try line

But he showed effort and heart though. Am I doing it right, Seyfarth minions?

this guy is horrid man cant stand watching him makes me want to rip my eyes out that's how shit he is cant believe that people defend this [This word has been automatically removed] yeah he tries his best but so all would we if we played for the tigers cant keep on playing these plotters in first grade if we want to make the 8 any time soon
