Alex Seyfarth #232

Thought Twal had covered Papali’i he needed to trust that and stay on Tapine in my opinion.
Ah, it was Twal inside him. Couldn't tell, Maybe he would be covered...
But it's still Papalii and still Tapine. Yea, hindsight I would want Seyfarth to move out... But looking at whom he is stopping it's danger time.

I would really only trust Twal and May to even have a chance of stopping Papalii one on one.

Thing is though that Tapine broke the line around the 10m mark and ran through. Seyfarth had enough time to hold out on Tapine to make Papali’i second guess the pass and then move back inside to assist Twal in the tackle if Papali’i pushes through.

Always loved Seyfarth and wanted him on the edge for the longest time….but please forget about it moving forward he has zero ability to defend out wide…he’s a good club middle and that’s it

I think he’ll stay play a part in our squad but he’s no edge and will never be a star forward(that’s ok as long as Benji recognises this and uses him accordingly)
THIS.

Seyfarth as a prop, crosses the line and is dynamic.
As an Edge, he has to rely on his laterial movement more.
As a Prop, he can use the laterial movement and running speed to cross the line. More like Willie Mason then Anthony Watmough.

Naturally he is better coming off the bench when people are tired. But all our forwards are Pushed and pushed past their comfort zones.

What you and Bellend are saying is right.

I like Seyfarth and IMHO he has risen and improved from 2024.
But we are playing all our front row for longer stretches.

We can't keep having a back and a hooker on our bench.

We culled 4 forwards for 2. Yes May has risen, hunt did well at the start and needs repair now. But we banked the farm on 2 forwards working and it's been May's performance that has made that work.

Jack Bird is the ideal reserve, who can step up to the front row or cover the backs. Yet we keep using him in other capacities and not as back cover so we can have more oomph on the bench.

I just don't know what were doing, we got super lucky that May is an absolute gun. We really need a first grade Prop, Lock or 2nd row .
Don't think it's ideal using Bird from the kick off. Should preserve him dynamic around the middle.

I distinctly remember hearing he was too small.

Almost as if people didn't know who they were talking about.
You would only hear this from two blokes on this forum, they have been quiet since sukkar has been showing up as a source of hope in first grade in his few games. Hope he gets the opportunity to show off what he can do some more throughout this season in first grade

Seyfarth isn't mobile or smart enough to be an edge player in first grade

Problem is that he's not strong enough to be a middle either. He gets dominated every time he runs the ball, has 0 impact.

2 runs for 17m, one of the runs being from dummy half.

This tells us that either Seyfarth has the self-awareness that he's a liability with the ball or his fellow players have totally lost confidence in him and refuse to give him the ball except on pre-planned plays.
Either way we can't keep playing with 12 men.

On here the delusion remains strong with his zombie followers who want to give him "flowers" for effort.
That's like congratulating a husband for not beating his wife, it's the expected bare minimun.
Its unbelievable but also a regular stat...its.like benjis told him just tackle.
We already give oppositions head starts in too many areas.
I bag KPP for.his shit numbers but he looks like Olokoatu compared to baby G.
Absolutley insane and bizaare decision to extend him for 4 more years or whatever it was
