Yeah hard to believe eh? Last year’s wooden spooners! I’m not sure they can turn it around that dramatically for the whole season. I was thinking more maybe the Roosters once they get over the origin period. They have the players for it. Maybe even the Cowboys or Dolphins if they can tighten their defences.probley newcastle if they can stay healthy
I'll take option 1...Im of the opinion this next month will be very hard having Sam and Twal out . We need to find a way around this. Just picking someone to play 13 and carrying on as usual isnt an option for me. We need to take an alternate approach. I have 2 options
1. Latu plays lock and we spend a few weeks really focusing on our attack. Play fast, upbeat attacking footy lead by Api, Latu and Jock condensing the opposition middle and moving the ball swiftly to the edges. Run teams around with the ball, blow them away.
2. Pick 2 players to cover Twals loss. Start with someone and tell them just give me 20 minutes of everything you have. Hard line speed and aggression. Then replace him with the 2nd one. It means using an extra interchange or two.
If we pick any sort of middle player and just say go be yourself then we are shot. This is a huge loss and we have to try something to win 2 or 3 games over the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Could be a Dylan Walker style player. Certainly played well yesterdayLaurie was the players player 2022 here and was brave behind a beaten squad on numerous occasions. He had one absolute shocker here against the Knights- I think and he wasn't alone - and some never got over it.
Never going to be elite but is a player who can be the next man up effectively.
That is the question,That's what I would do too.
Just hope Latu can play 60 in the middle
huge job to cover Twally , been great but need to push on ,
Latu in at 13.
Roberts in at left back rower
Bunty back on bench , we will need to attack Penrith hard and fast and use 2 injections off the bench in Hunt and Bunty
Gonna be tough next 4 weeks with Alex out but again need to push on , we can beat these guys , take a leaf out dragons book V bronco , can be done
Penrith will have 4 out of, this weekend, pray that they don’t pick apiDogs beat a full strength panthers side & we beat the dogs so yeah it can be done plus luai will be hungry to get one over Cleary as will the other ex panthers in our team like temu & turuva
All of their Origin players are free to play against us, if fit.Penrith will have 4 out of, this weekend, pray that they don’t pick api

No the following week is SOO 2All origin players are playing this week aren't they?
Gee API can play longer than 20 minutesI would have Latu starting at 14
On at 20 mins to replace Api, when Api's break is up Latu slots into 13 to finish the game
All of their Origin players are free to play against us, if fit.
How so? I thought they would all be in camp this week or have I got my weeks mixed up?All of their Origin players are free to play against us, if fit.
Luai was hungry to get one over Galvin.Dogs beat a full strength panthers side & we beat the dogs so yeah it can be done plus luai will be hungry to get one over Cleary as will the other ex panthers in our team like temu, api, turuva
That all sounds like a good plan.Noticed raiders had Jayden Brailey playing #13 and yesterday it was Daine Laurie.
Twal is an immense loss.
No Sione either.
It's already a hard game, up against the powerhouse that is Penrith.
I'd be selecting:
- Charlie Murray to #13
- Latu on bench
- Ethan Roberts to cover Sione
- Sol Saukura on bench, debut @ backs and backrow coverage.
