Yeah hard to believe eh? Last year’s wooden spooners! I’m not sure they can turn it around that dramatically for the whole season. I was thinking more maybe the Roosters once they get over the origin period. They have the players for it. Maybe even the Cowboys or Dolphins if they can tighten their defences.

Latu in at 13.
Roberts in at left back rower
Bunty back on bench , we will need to attack Penrith hard and fast and use 2 injections off the bench in Hunt and Bunty
Gonna be tough next 4 weeks with Alex out but again need to push on , we can beat these guys , take a leaf out dragons book V bronco , can be done
 
I think we should give twal a bag of concrete, and sent him out , come to think of it , give all the injured players a bag of concrete.
This has to be our worst season for injuries, we would have been in the top 3 , if all had stayed fit

Never going to be elite but is a player who can be the next man up effectively.

That is the question,
I am all in on this kid’s potential but I just would prefer benji put him in reserve grade for 3 weeks in what ever position Benji thinks he is best suited for us in the NRL.
This starting him on the bench and putting him on here there and everywhere is doing nothing for him or the team at the moment.

Dogs beat a full strength panthers side & we beat the dogs so yeah it can be done plus luai will be hungry to get one over Cleary as will the other ex panthers in our team like temu, api, turuva

Penrith will have 4 out of, this weekend, pray that they don’t pick api
 
We have troubled Penrith over the last few years. I think its because they used to play that grinding style and were not very adventurous in attack, they would just beat teams to death and very rarely put on a massive score. Our style of play was one where we could go toe to toe so we didn't embarrass ourselves. Well all that has changed this year so you can throw previous form out the window. I have absolutely no idea how we will go against them. The dogs suffocated them with line speed and they got frustrated and that expansive attack just didn't click and led to dropped balls and poor kicks from Nathan. They also targeted Talangi almost exclusively and for mine this is where KPP and Madden need to have a big game. I think the dogs got lucky and Penrith were having a bad day, we need a similar situation to get anywhere near beating them when they are at full strength.
 
I would have Latu starting at 14

On at 20 mins to replace Api, when Api's break is up Latu slots into 13 to finish the game

It's already a hard game, up against the powerhouse that is Penrith.

I'd be selecting:
- Charlie Murray to #13
- Latu on bench
- Ethan Roberts to cover Sione
- Sol Saukura on bench, debut @ backs and backrow coverage.

That all sounds like a good plan.
 
I think we need a ball runner at 13 not a ball player.

Sione Fainu hasn't impressed me on the edge at all, he tends to just hit them as they bounce off. Very important on the edge to wrap them up, not just stop their momentum. If he isn't ruled out with HIA, I'd start him.

If Sione is out, then you have to trust your NSW Cup development and get Geyer and Roberts at 12/13.

Roberts and Geyer play in the forwards week in, week out. Latu is good at 14, let's keep him there.
