All of our new players.

I am sick and tired of reading all the doom and gloom regarding our club. How about we start a list of the players we have purchased and some of the up and coming young guns at the club?

Players profiles, what grade that we think they might play and do we have some strength in all three grades.

Let's be positive about our club.

Look I reckon the recruitment mightn't be over just yet Col

I have a sneaking suspicion that a certain hooker mightn't be here next season so some more dollars might get freed up

Oh my ht, sounds so mysterious.

Who do you mean….you have been very vague lately with your veiled accusations and leaky boats...

Can you just be specific please....Might make what you are babbling about easier to understand....thank you....

I was trying to avoid CB's prediction above

Once the writing is on the wall in regards to Ballin , I think Farah will find a new club in the NRL , its his only choice if he wishes to continue playing SOO

Addo Carr is much bigger than I thought he was… He'd be over 6 ft, and 95kgs I'd reckon (Going off the photo) Fair chance he would get a crack at Pats wing.
Also not forgetting, Chee Kam could be an option at centre - Forcing Kevy to a wing....

I honestly don't think we are as strapped as everyone thinks... Plenty of boys there vying for a shot at first grade. They'll probably get it, consistency will be the only thing we may not get from them for a bit.

I think our signings will be decent this year and will set us up nicely for 2017\. Of course, that's not what anyone wants to hear right now.

I'd love to be super optimistic, but apart from Ballin, all of our signings are untried and untested in the NRL. One or two may work out, most probably won't. All I ever hear with this club is 'potential this, potential that' - well potential and $4 will get you a cup of coffee and that's about it really. I would like some surety about the players that we sign, or bring through the ranks, but I know that's a pipe dream.

2016 will be foundation/platform year for 2017\. Our younger players will continue to improve and mould together as a team to the extent that Wests Tigers will be a potent NRL force in 2017.

Oh…well perhaps you should have left it for the other 6 or so threads on the subject...

On topic..

RANKIN could surprise...I liked what I saw of him in his highlights over in SL...much bigger than I remember from his Titans days...has good footwork with a bit of pace and can use the footy...maybe a chance for the centre spot..good utility value covers all backline positions...

McCONNACHIE...is another I hope gets a shot at least off the bench..hard bugger who knows how to hit...runs 1 way... forward...looking for a shot at NRL...reminds me of someone....

EDWARDS...a tackle machine who not only know how to defend but how to hit...could provide the protection the halves need...has nearly 100 NRL game experience...will be the bloke who covers Taupau early on..

CHEE-KAM...perhaps the most experienced of the inexperienced...gun youngster who never given a fair crack at Manly mainly due to injury...again good value off the bench being able to handle backrow and centre...

ADDO-CARR..definitely has speed...something we lack..whether or not he's up to NRL defensively is the question but we'll only know if he's given a go...

HUNT....no superstar by any means,,,was solid in the games I saw him play for the Dragons filling in for Dugan at fullback and the games on the wing...

GRIFFIN...another forward with a huge motor looking for a shot at NRL..has good footwork for a Prop with the reduced interchange could end up a diamond,,,

The rest appear to be destined for a lot of time in State Cup but knowing they're a chance if injuries strike...

The point was I believe he will leave and thus create some cap space for a possible late signing or two

Not fussed about our size in the forward pack. I think we will lack a bit of grunt in terms of our bench, but I hope I'm wrong.

I agree Willow. I find it hard to come up with the 4th bench spot. Our starting pack can do the job IMO and will have 3 players opposition don't want to run at which is great
. Keeping that momentum when the bench is used will be the problem. Ava will do well keeping the go forward but we need an intimidator coming on. Maybe that can be McConachie

WE had two intimidators, Ava and Tapau. We let one go who was under contract. You are correct, we are light on for line breakers

Yep - we need that ability to make a bust or get a line break.

Anybody think Karwhin is in with a shot of first grade this year? He looked impressive in the limited games i saw of him.

He looks good. Hopefully he gets a shot next year. the open wing spot will be between Hoeter, Hunt and Karwhin (Naiqama depending on if JT would rather someone else at centre)

Maybe hell get a run in the 9s, unless taylor picks first graders this year. From there anything could happen

What are your opinions on the one's we have signed could further the discussion...
